Using #threads for promotion/curation
Hi,
since #threads have been launched on @leofinance, we have seen a high increase in comments, where some top witnesses feel that the activity might affect the chain. Which is good, as if it impacts, that means that it does not have the capability to scale and something must be done for it, but this is another story.
I think that #threads can be a good way to promote content, not only of myself, but also of others.
Why? Just because it has a higher audience than the normal view. It goes randomly and displays messages in front of many users, that are not in close contact.
There is the circlejerk debate. Yes, I admit, and I won't change this matter, as I try to help the people in my network grow. We have some sheriffs that say they don't do it, but they still do, everyone is doing it, going to the one that they know.
With #threads, I can expand my circle and share some posts of my network. It is a win win for everyone, as my network grows in terms of people and also in terms of value.

I'm still working on starting to use Threads more. I think a lot of the arguments against stuff like this need to be shelved. This preemptive policing isn't doing us any favors.
Some want this blockchain to ever be just a blogging platform so they can have more control over it.

Spam is the problem with #threads.
How so? Who determines that? Is Spam a problem with Twitter? I don't think I have ever heard that argument. I'm not disagreeing, I'm just saying, who determines what spam is and who determines that it isn't a proper use for Threads?
It's subjective of course. What I would call spam is the type of posts containing random videos that do not belong to the author or simply sharing crypto prices(we can check em for ourselves).
I believe twitter has plenty of spam as well, it's more visible in the comments section though.
I think sharing prices has always been a an issue on this chain. Especially when the bid bots were around. I can agree with this types of videos you are talking about.
