Living a weekend without a cell phone

Happy weekend to all members of this extraordinary platform. The weekend has created another writing opportunity to express our thoughts on our stand when it comes before us to live without our mobile phone for one weekend. I'd like to experience a weekend out on my cellphone, but it won't be easy as I have always lived my weekend with my phone since I became of age to use a mobile phone.

Hmm, I will like to spend a weekend without my phone because I've always wanted to get a feel for how restricted and controlled life is in actual life.

I will also want to live a weekend restricted from using my mobile phone just to prove some people wrong, especially those who see me as someone who can't live a single moment without his mobile phone. I want those people to know that what they actually think of me is not who I actually am.

Permit me to highlight some challenges I'm likely to face when I'm restricted from using my mobile phone over the weekend.

I'm going to be very lonely for that weekend, as I always carry out my weekend activities with my mobile phone as my only partner and also as my immediate source of entertainment while I work, as I listen to music when I'm carrying out my weekend duty. Even after my daily activities, I use my phone to watch interesting videos and movies, which also serve as my source of entertainment after each day's work.

In case of an emergency while on the field of work or at any place far from home, it will be a big challenge to reach out to people for help in time.

A benefit that I can boldly say I'd get when I'm restricted from using my mobile phone on a weekend is that I need not worry about internet data purchases or call credit purchases. It will save me some extra money for that weekend.

I will also be more concentrated on my offline activities that weekend because I'll not need to be operating my phone at a certain point while I work.

Thank you very much for spending some time on my post.

Like you, I think that many times the phone becomes an element of distraction that distracts us and retasa many of our work or home activities or as you have called them offline and that saving is a plus point, it is impressive the amount of data and more that we can spend when we are in front of the cell phone and sometimes in nonsense, greetings from Venezuela.

There's this misconception going on. Most of the people think those who are on their phones are wasting time on social media platforms. I bet 75% of them are, but what about those who are using their phone for work? How am I supposed to do my work if I can't use my phone? Most of the platforms have 2 factor verification system for security reasons, not to mention I'm using my phone to trade. How am I supposed to do my work?

Yh, most people indeed use their phones for more fruitful activities and for that matter they just do without their phones but some mis read them.

It would be a good social experiment but if you take the opportunity to do as much as possible that weekend and hopefully make a record of it all. All the best! 👊

Yeah, keeping memories through recording is also a way to put the phone to a good use. Thanks for passing by

I see that you have reflected very well and the possible situations that may arise and I think that in fact I would already be prepared. I broke my phone and while I borrowed one I spent several days without it and everything was perfect, I just left it. My regards to you.
