Yesterday, I visited the graphic arts center, or graphic society, in the city of Cienfuegos. As I walked in, admiring the murals and sculptures that beckoned me inside, I ran into the visual artist, Alexander Cardenes.

This young artist, with a distinct neo-expressionist and contemporary style, has always shown us in his exhibitions the surrounding reality and the concerns that are not only his own but also those of society as a whole.

To my surprise, I was able to enjoy the collection he was working on, and with the artist's permission, I wanted to create this small exhibition of photographs from it.

The fundamental theme: Clowns, as universal characters that fully reflect the human being and his various facets, Alexander uses the clown, not to spread that terror that is always marked in the films as a kind of urban legend, but so that he himself is the catalyst of our existential analyses.

Ayer fue un día en que realice una visita al centro de la gráfica o sociedad gráfica de la ciudad de Cienfuegos donde entre tantas cosas hermosas que se crean en el marco de las artes visuales están: los grabados, litografías, monotipias, entre otras, pero eso será para otro día, porque entrando por la puerta y disfrutando de la pintura mural y la escultura que nos invita a pasar me encontré con el artista plástico, Alexander Cardenes.

Este joven artista con una marcada línea neo-expresionista y contemporánea, nos ha mostrado siempre en sus exposiciones la realidad circundante y las preocupaciones que no son solo suyas sino también de toda la sociedad.
Para mi sorpresa, pude disfrutar de la colección en la que estaba trabajando y de la que he querido hacer, gracias al permiso del artista, esta pequeña exposición de fotografías.

El tema fundamental: Los payasos, como personajes universales que reflejan en su totalidad al ser humano y sus diversas facetas, Alexander utiliza al payaso, no para difundir ese terror que siempre viene marcado en las películas como una especie de leyenda urbana, sino para que el mismo sea el catalizador de nuestros análisis existenciales.

Encontramos aquí personajes que van desde la inocencia hasta un viaje a la remota esperanza, no sin pasar por los malabares que te obliga a hacer la vida.

Siempre utiliza de fondo la carpa como parte del mundo del circo, creo que esta es su mayor sinceridad, mostrarnos la carpa de mundo en el también vivimos.
