Snails in the garden/Caracoles en el jardín(ENG-ESP)
Hello friends, it’s been a while since I shared anything with you; I’ve returned so we can continue together on this beautiful journey of photography.

Snails are as old as—or even older than—human beings; in fact, they are far older. Fossils exist dating back 260 to 350 million years—a long time, isn't it? Their diverse shapes and colors are found across the earth's landscape, as are those of marine shells; yet the truly interesting thing is what lies within them.

It is hard to believe that life is possible within that spiral space, yet that is exactly where these tiny creatures—which have adopted my backyard as their ecosystem—live. These small, industrious snails roam the entire yard, and I often have to watch my step carefully to avoid accidentally crushing them.

These mollusks known as slugs—with their antennae and slow gait—are fascinating within the tiny world they manage to create and imbue with life, as they help fertilize the soil and foster plant growth.

I remember a phrase that went something like: to keep your feet firmly on the ground, you have to be like slugs.

If there is anything that becomes a secret—or rather, a curiosity—it is the phenomenon of the spiral, for it appears in snails, hurricanes, tornadoes, whirlpools, and many other things.
