The Ruleset Combo That Almost Tricked Me -- My Most Amazing Victory

High mana battles are very interesting for me because most of my wins come in high mana battles. The main reason for this is that we have more options available for monster selection.

After properly understanding the rulesets we can carefully choose our monsters and we do not have to worry much about mana cost. Whatever monster you want to select, it usually does not make much difference because you have plenty of mana available for selection. That is why I often win high mana battles.

Today's victory was especially amazing and impressive. I understood the rulesets properly and planned my team according to a suitable strategy which resulted in a great win.

Remember that 50% of success in a battle depends on strategy, how you select your monsters, what positioning you use and which monsters you choose after understanding the rulesets.

First of all let's understand the rulesets and the three modifiers that appeared in this battle.

FIRE AND REGRET

The first ruleset was Fire & Regret. This means that all units gain the Return Fire ability. If a ranged attacker attacks an enemy unit then 50% of the damage is reflected back to the attacker itself.

For example, if my unit has four damage and attacks an enemy unit, then 50% of that damage, which is two damage is returned to my own monster and hits its health.

From this it becomes clear that while considering this ruleset, it is better not to select ranged attacker monsters at all. They should be avoided whenever possible. If you are forced to use them then their placement should be done very carefully.

Keeping this in mind I did not select any ranged attacker monster. I chose only magic and melee attackers so that I could stay safe from the Return Fire ability ruleset.

EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY

The second important ruleset was Explosive Weaponry. In this ruleset every unit gains the Blast ability. Whenever a monster hits a target the monsters standing on both sides of that target also receive fifty percent additional damage.

Its function is somewhat similar to Fire & Regret but it is not limited to ranged attackers. It applies to any attacking monster. It also increases the damage dealt through splash effects. In this ruleset monster positioning becomes extremely important and it must be handled very carefully.

EQUAL OPPORTUNITY

The third important ruleset was Equal Opportunity. In this ruleset every unit gains the Opportunity ability. Whenever a monster attacks it targets the enemy monster with the lowest health regardless of whether that monster is in the front line or back line

This means that the monsters with the lowest health will always be attacked first.. Therefore in this ruleset positioning does not provide a major advantage because any monster with the lowest health will be targeted no matter where it is placed.

Keeping these three rulesets in mind I selected six monsters while the enemy team also selected six monsters

Considering the Return Fire ability and Explosive Weaponry rulesets I decided not to choose any ranged attacker monster. I placed two strong tank monsters in the first positions both having high armor.

After that I placed three magic attacker monsters in the middle positions. Finally I selected another melee attacker monster for the last position. This monster also had armor and possessed the Sneak ability which meant that even from the last position it could continue attacking enemy units easily.

Overall my approach was aggressive but without any ranged attackers. This is the real use of strategy.

The enemy player also showed good preparation. He selected only one ranged attacker and made his selections quite wisely.

At the beginning of the battle the match was very balanced. However my last monster delivered an outstanding performance and because of that I achieved a great victory in this battle. (Magic attackers performed well)

What do you think about these rulesets? Do you believe that by understanding the rulesets properly and combining them with a good strategy, battles can be won more easily? Will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
