Yeah, I have heard about the use of cranberries for the treatment of UTI. However the gold standard therapy for the treatment of UTI still remains adequate antibiotics treatment. With the right antibiotics at the right dose and at the right duration, UTI is easily treatable.

From research, a lot of people who believe that Cranberry treats UTIs are just having Placebo effects as a result of telling them that it works and putting their entire mind into it. Have you tried the placebo effect on people? If two people have a headache, give one (a) acetaminophen and give the other (b) vitamin C, but tell (b) you gave him a better pain relief. You would realize that (b) will start to feel relieve first before (a) who was given acetaminophen before of the expected result even when the person's body is actively fighting to get better without the help of the drug.
