Retos de cuidar a un Morrocoy bebé (Esp/Eng)

Hola amigos, escribo estas líneas con algo de tristeza, pues está mañana estuve revisando a la nueva mascota que tenemos en casa, ya les había comentado el trágico comienzo en la vida de esta criatura.

Para mí es algo complicado cuidar a esta mascota, pues la verdad nunca me he hecho cargo de una y menos en estas circunstancias, pues, al principio no sabíamos si iba a sobrevivir, y además no sabíamos qué cuidados darle al principio y aún tengo incertidumbre sobre algunas cosas, por ejemplo, aunque le coloco agua y comida no ingiere nada de lo que le pongo, al menos eso me parece.

Hello friends, I write these lines with some sadness, because this morning I was checking on the new pet we have at home, I had already told you about the tragic beginning in the life of this creature.

For me it is easy to take care of this pet, because the truth is that I have never taken care of one and less in these circumstances, because at first we did not know if it was going to survive, and also we did not know what care to give it at the beginning and I still have uncertainty about some things, for example, although I put water and food in it, it doesn't eat anything I put in it, at least that's what it seems to me.

Hoy particularmente fue muy impresionante para mí pues, aunque me da algo de vergüenza decirlo, estuve revisando la parte de la barriga de mi Morrocoy, le había quedado un pedazo de carne, una amiga me dice que es el "ombligo" y desde que lo coloque en el terrario ha disminuido de tamaño y se ha secado considerablemente, pero no me había dado cuenta de algo, cuando lo levanté mire que tenía en el interior gusanos 🤯😔.

Inmediatamente con un palito delgado me puse a sacarlos y a limpiar el área, aunque todavía me preguntó si en su habitad natural sea así, osea, que los gusanos se encarguen de comerse ese pedazo de carne.

Today in particular was very impressive for me because, although I am a bit embarrassed to say it, I was checking the part of my Morrocoy's belly, there was a piece of meat left, a friend tells me that it is the "navel" and since I place in the terrarium has decreased in size and has dried considerably, but I had not noticed something, when I picked it up I saw that it had worms inside 🤯😔.

Immediately with a thin stick I began to take them out and clean the area, although he still asked me if it is like that in its natural habitat, that is, that the worms are in charge of eating that piece of meat.

En la tarde, volví a revisar y aún le quedaban unas tres gusanos que le saque, esta vez limpié más a profundidad con un poco de agua, luego seque con un pañito, el pobre se movía y retorcía mientras lo estaba limpiando. Así que lo seque lo mejor que pude y lo volví a colocar en el terrario.

Está muy tranquilo la verdad y espero le seque pronto el pedacito de carne que aún le queda en la barriga.

Si alguien sabe más sobre el cuidado de estos animalitos, agradeceré mucho sus sugerencias, mientras seguiré al tanto de limpiarlo y hacer lo posible por qué como algo o al menos tome agua, además de mantenerlo en un ambiente agradable para su especie.

In the afternoon, I checked again and there were still about three worms left that I took out, this time I cleaned more deeply with a little water, then dried with a cloth, the poor thing moved and twisted while I was cleaning it. So I dried it as best I could and put it back in the terrarium.

The truth is that he is very calm and I hope that the little piece of meat that still remains in his belly will dry out soon.

If anyone knows more about the care of these little animals, I will greatly appreciate your suggestions, while I will continue to clean them and do my best to eat something or at least drink water, in addition to keeping them in a pleasant environment for their species.
