Pekerman y su revolución en La Vinotinto (Opinión) (ESP/ENG)
Desde que el argentino José Pekerman fue anunciado como nuevo seleccionador del equipo masculino de Venezuela se supo que su rol iría más allá del banquillo, y esta semana se soltó un bombazo que dejó a mas de uno boquiabierto, la eliminación de la regla del juvenil para los clubes de primera división en el país.
Y las medidas tomadas por Pekerman y compañía no se queda ahí, la también va de la mano con la creación de un torneo de reservas. De entrada, han sido muchos los que se han mostrado en contra de estas iniciativas, principalmente argumentando que la regla del juvenil le ha dado vitrina a muchos jóvenes talentos que hoy brillan fuera de Venezuela y es verdad, aunque también es cierto que de esas generaciones de juveniles la mayoría no llega a la selección absoluta.

Veamos, de la generación que fue al mundial sub20 de Egipto 2009 solo Salomón Rondón pudo afianzarse en la selección mayor, algunos otros fueron y vinieron, pero ninguno se mantuvo en el top de la selección, La generación de Makoun se perdió por completo, ni hablemos de la generación sub campeona del mundial sub20 de Corea 2017, si bien, hay varios elementos de esta generación, ha sido más por un cambio generacional y salvo Yangel Herrera y Fariñez, ningún otro jugador ha sido protagonista.
A lo que voy, sí, nos funcionó la regla del juvenil, pero fue pan para hoy y hambre para mañana, se lanzaron muchos talentos antes de tiempo, sin finalizar su formación y el talento sin sabes no puede llegar lejos, el ejemplo está ahí a simple vista. No sé si el método Pekerman sea la solución, pero un entrenador cuya especialidad ha sido, justamente, la formación de talentos se merece un voto de confianza.

Pékerman llega con buenas ideas, aunque en lo de la regla del juvenil difiero. Sin embargo, llamar "revolución" a un proceso que ni ha empezado es exagerado.
Usé la palabra porque parece dar un vuelco a un sistema que parecía estar en una zona de confort muy grande y a dedicarse al mínimo esfuerzo.
