Para mí, la despedida del año comenzó como cualquier otro día, mi esposo en el trabajo y mi niña y yo en casa, a diferencia que nos encontrábamos haciendo algunos preparativos para la cena.
For me, the farewell to the year started like any other day, my husband at work and my little girl and I at home, except that we were doing some preparations for dinner.
Para cuando fue la llegada del último cañonazo del año, vi muchas caras llenas de nostalgia por encontrarse lejos de sus familiares, así como también muchas llenas de felicidad por encontrarse una vez más con esos seres que llevaban años, meses o cierto tiempo fuera. Por mi parte estuve lejos de mi madre y de mi hermano, pero gracias a la tecnología y las redes sociales más el servicio de mensajería pudimos mantenernos en línea, y en comunicación durante todo el día.
By the time the last cannon shot of the year arrived, I saw many faces full of nostalgia for being away from their families, as well as many full of happiness for being once again with their loved ones who had been away for years, months or some time. I was far away from my mother and brother, but thanks to technology and social networks plus the messaging service we were able to stay online and in communication throughout the day.
A decir verdad, extrañaba tanto estar por aquí, solo que estos días fueron como unas mini vacaciones, disfrutando, compartiendo, visitando etc.
To tell the truth, I missed being around here so much, just these days were like a mini vacation, enjoying, sharing, visiting, etc.
