After being on a losing streak, I finally broke the spell. My ratings were reduced to 1300 before I got it to turn around. This match being the first of it.
So, I wanted to share a battle which arguably has to be one of the shortest battles in the silver league.

Without further ado, let’s begin.

Battle Rules

The mana cap was 15 and the rules of the battle are: Weak Magic and Equal Opportunity. There were 4 summoners to choose from: Fire, Water, Death, and Dragon. I opted for Thaddius Brood, the Death Summoner.

Battle

My Team

Tank: Cursed Windeku(Ability: Thorns).
Magic Casters: Life Sapper(Ability: Leech).
Attackers: Undead Badger(Ability: Sneak).

My strategy was: get the Windeku to take enemy monsters attack while my leech would suck in the HP of the tank. I would use get to use the Badged only once as the battle rule has opportunity, their would come straight for it. Fortunately, it’s speed was 4 so it could attack first.

I wanted to use the ruleset of the battle but when I was configuring the lineup I saw that using monsters that already an ability was the way to go. Had this been the Bronze league, I would’ve used cards like Carrion Shade and Slime Ball that would do individual damage.

Opposition Team

Summoner: Tarsa(level 2).
Tank: Radiated Scorcher(No Ability).
Non-Attackers: Chaos Agent(No Ability).
Attackers: Uraeus(Ability: Sneak), Tenyii Striker(Ability: Sneak).

His was a proper plan. He wanted to used his samurai and snake to the fullest as he dolled up the Radiated Scorcher and Chaos Agent to the front. But, his plan was a bit flawed as he didn’t account for the lack of speed in his squad. Moreover, he didn’t consider a leech and a monster that would have the most HP and that would cause a Thorns effect.

Round 1

The summoner traits were introduced and the battle was on. My Undead Badger went first, no surprise there, and did 1 damage to the Striker. My Life Sapper sucked out the Chaos Agent’s HP and my Windeku finished off the Radiated Scorcher before it had a chance to strike.

His monsters’ turn finally came. His snake’s shield was broken down by the thorns of Windeku.

Like I presumed, my Badger was the first to be taken out from the deck. His samurai levelled the field, making it a 2 v 2.

Round 2

My Leech went first and gained an HP. Then, my Windeku finished off Uraeus.

Finally, Tenyii Striker ascended to the first position. His attack landed and did a damage of 3. He got the thorns as well and was down to 3 HP.

Round 3

Lastly, the first turn went to Life Sapper. It leeched another HP and then the Windeku smacks the iron wall in the samurais face.

The worst thing about the game was that I really wanted to use monsters that would use the ruleset but I ended up using the same strategy I would’ve used regardless and won through it.
