This time I have both the gameplay and the review. The writing below is my thoughts on the game. In the latter part of the post is the gameplay and behind the scene story on it.

The Modern Warfare 2 Gameplay

The Pros

The FOV slider for Consoles.
This thing is a total life saver and many others will chime in on this. Multiple times I and the people I’ve killed have failed to see the opponent standing just beside us.

For Ps5 users or Xbox Series X|S, playing with an FOV of 100 in 120 FPS in a 4k monitor is a luxury Ps4 players didn’t have in MW. Now, both consoles have this feature in MW2.

MW has a rich history of players not being able to listen to footsteps, in MW2 the devs decided to add to that problem. This addition is a double edged sword and depends on how the players use it.

I like how the whole system is smooth, being a new game and all there had been no malfunction or glitches or rendering problem or ping issues on my end so far. I got to play with my friend @purple-haze throughout.

The Open Beta has 3 maps, each has its own play style. So far, I’m enjoying the shotgun in the Farm 18 area.

The 3rd person view. I myself haven’t tried this addition because I want the whole experience to be live, to induce more adrenaline and make it action packed. This addition is good for those with motion sickness.

The gun inspection. This feature is just as cool if not more than it's prequel.

The Cons

Firstly, the open beta is a little over 35 GB on PlayStation and over 45 GB on PC. This amount of storage is a huge turn off for players, especially PC players. Couldn’t get my friends to download this as they would have to delete a lot of stuff and this game needs a high spec to play smoothly, for PC.

Then comes the the main menu issue. After we log into the game and get to the choosing of maps and game type, a single press from the back button gets you straight to the main menu. And then we have to wait to log into the server and game again. I faced this multiple times and cannot stress how bad it is.

The price has been increased by $10. This is a bit too expensive for me and my friends and I'm sure many others as well.

The settings has a variety of options allowing players to choose and set in-game effects to their own preference. Much like the settings in Modern Warfare, MW2 has an ads multiplier that but unlike MW where the slider can be shifted in +-0.01 here it can be moved in +-0.1 making MW slider settings superior.

The visual recoil. The guns and the inspection is pretty cool but the

I did mention that there were no issues in the game but I did encounter one such glitch in the game. I unlocked an SAE airstrike but just couldn't activate it. To activate it we have to press R1(I flipped R1 for R2 and L1 for L2) to launch the strikes but they just didn't launch. At the end of the 30s time, a notification of the strikes being launched arrives but no such strike takes place. Not sure if others have this problem too.

The drop shot mechanism i.e removal of slide cancel. I am a regular player at rebirth and have developed the habit of slide cancelling, like many others. This introduction of dropping and having to shoot is a mechanism of the previous titles of the game.
Moreover, this mechanism doesn't really help you at all. It just makes you an easier target.

Imagine, you drop infront of an enemy and your screen gets a violent shake and it looks down. Now, he gets to shoot you in the head as it is the first thing that he would see. Even if you manage to shoot the person in front of you any other opponent in you sides can easily take you out while you would have to move over of get you came in his direction. You cannot instantly stand up after dropping.

The need to upgrade weapons all over again. Kids or professional gamers with a lot of time can easily get this chore done but for casual players like many others Whole just like to play the game and enjoy it all just can't do the one thing we aimed to do: enjoy. I struggled to find certain a good loadout until I adjusted with the default one with M4 and shotty.

The need to readjust the settings. This truly is a drag which is why I decided to put it in the end. I forgot most of my setting and I had to struggle in the first 3 games before having a stable sensitivity setting. Landed a 3.82 k/d with that setting.

In the end, I think that this game has a high potential due to the performance so far but with it comes the burden buying it for an extra $10 making it more expensive.

The Short Gameplay

In the gameplay below I successfully had a quad kill with a single nade. The enemies were huddled up in a small room that converges with another hall. They most likely had no idea of the grenade being there and were just charging forward together. I also thought of the possibility of people being there and just threw it in the hopes of deterring them from passing through there.

Good thoughts.
Call of duty is always a good franchise for shooting game lovers. I'm amazed seeing how much they developed the graphics.
Btw, I knew there was mw2 before as well, probably before ghosts.
So is it a remake of that part or is it a totally new game with the same name?

It seems pretty decent, although I won't even be able to play it, so I don't know what I'm talking about xd.

We can always have opinions, no shame in that. You could hop in, my or others’ channel, and enjoy the plays.

I say the issue starts with the pricing. Paying $70 for the standard edition of a game is absurd, and that is why a lot of people will bail on this game; at least for a while, until they put up a sale of some sorts.

A standard edition game should be priced at around $40 to $50, that helps a lot of gamers from third world countries to join in on the hype, helping boost sales as well. The premium edition is alright I guess, priced from $80 to $100, but I say there should one more edition. An edition somewhere between the standard and premium, priced at around $60, something that offers a balance, best of both worlds let's say.

I see a lot of people wanting to get the game, but they simply can't because of the absurd pricing. Not everyone can afford spend that much money on a game, and even they can, they'd rather spend it on something more "productive" or maybe get 2 to 3 good games for that much.

Even I'm hesitant about "pulling the trigger", and that's coming from a guy who loves a bit of Modern Warfare and has been hyped since the release of Cold War. Yet, if the game looks and feels promising, has good support behind the scenes, has good content and a good 2/3 year grind potential, then I'll surely get it.

Same, waiting for a good discount. Either in this Black Friday deal of New year's discount.

Yep, a lot of people are waiting for the sales, let's just hope that they don't take too long to announce these sales.
