Pthumerian Descendant Takedown | Central Pthumerian Chalice Dungeon ~ Boss Fight

It took 5-6 tries for me, to finally get this guy down and out. His attack patterns and damage was unreal. The fight is below.

Breakdown Of The Fight

The first thing I did, after being tossed around left and right, is ring the Old Hunter’s Bell.

This video shows me having two tries. The first time is me summoning an Olek, to help me out in the fight. If you look to the top left corner, I didn’t have much blood vial(4 to be exact), nor silver bullets(6).

In all my attempts, I made sure to farm up and get max blood vials and quicksilver bullets. Mainly cuz, this enemy can be parried. I was frustrated by that point😅 and wanted to take it out somehow, anyhow.

Later, I pondered about going back to the Great Bridge. This was where I fought the Beast Cleric. Here, I get 1 “Tank” enemy, and two high damage dealing enemy and both were equally “Tanky”. These Tank types always drop Blood Vials, neat part of the game. They drop a mediocre amount of Blood Echoes(the significance of blood echoes received from them decreases overtime). So, I would get 8 blood vials and 1k blood echo, two Birds one stone.

Then, I had another idea. I remembered that I was kidnapped once, by those ladies with huge bags. They took me to the Hypogean Gaol, the place where mad men chanted and worshipped the Moon.

This was an area where another enemy drops blood vials, guaranteed, and it also gives a good amount of Blood Echo(3k) which makes this the perfect spot for farming. So, 2 tank types here, each would give 3 blood vial. And, I could buy more from the skeletons in the Hunter’s dream. A better offer.

The Tank types here, was this- The Pig. Deadly charge attack, head swivel attack, bad breath poison attack, and heavy body slam attack. Easy to dodge, easy to takedown. I had equipped the Fire element in my saw spear, perfect against beasts. Quicker deliverance of judgement.

Did what I said, farmed thrice and had 19 vials, with the rest of the echoes, I got the bullets.

I, then went straight to the boss fight. This time, with no help from the Hunter’s bell.

1 minute in and I traded a few hits, lost two blood vials.

As the battle grew, the tables were turning on my side. After several shots on the “monster” I got to parry it. The damage was a good.

I parried the guy again, but this time I couldn’t get my attack to connect with him. It resulted in me slashing the guy, like in a normal attack. No visceral attack. Also, I had no rune attached to me whatsoever. I got all this way, without attaching a rune.

As the battle reached its end, I knew I couldn’t lose it. I went in and delivered the final strike.

I’ve heard worse stories from my friend @purple-haze. He died to a boss who had 1 bar of health. The pain in his soul in immense XD.
