The Drugstore And The Motel ~ The Walking Dead | Episode - 1 Part - 2

Today marks the second day of joyful gaming as I continue to play this series ad sure with you guys the most amazing parts of the game. The best part about these telltale gamers are that your choices matters only to a certain point. So, getting that right is quite a hectic thing.

The post is in 3 parts. The first part is about them figuring things about the place and the nearby shops. The middle part of the post is about them visiting a motel as one of them gets stuck. And the last part of the post is about the people moving from the Drugstore to the motel but one of them stays behind… even though he doesn’t want to.

Ousted from Hershel’s, stuck on Drugstore. Lee is making conversation with everyone present there to assess the dire situation of the place.

At The Drugstore

Firstly, he fed Clementine and took care of her while Larry in the back was still in agony from his heart condition.

Then, Lee formally meets Lily. She was a mechanic at an airbase. Since they were the first ones in the store, Lee asked about the situation of it as they arrived here. Lily tells that they had to haul out an older couple from the office in case they weren’t dead… and that left Lee speechless for a few moments.

Lee talks with Katjaa and Kenny. They showed great concern for Clementine for taking care of herself all this time. Lee informed that her parents in Savannah didn’t make it, the answering machine in the house made it clear. Lee also informs that this place was owned by his parents. They were dead as confirmed by Lily. Katjaa showed sympathy for him. Lee hands out an energy bar and hence showed Kenny’s family that they can trust Lee.

Lee checks up on Carly. She was a news reporter and saw her editor get eaten just 5 feet away. Doug saved her and that’s how she ended up there. She was messing around with the radio so he checked it for her. Turns out there were no batteries on that thing.

Lee walked up to Doug. He suggested they look outside and see the situation. They wouldn’t get eaten since the gates were locked so Lee agreed. All they saw was “dead” eating dead on the streets as they continue to grow in number.

As they combed through the area Lee spots a Walker trapped underneath a log. The tag on his card read, “B. Everett Rex Manager”. That means that this guy turns out to be his brother. He pointed Doug to it and told that he might be an employee and have the keys to the Pharmacy. Doug asked for concrete evidence for it, otherwise it would be a bad ending for all.

Lee went back inside and decided to check out the office. Clementine accompanied him. All he found inside was sadness and a pool of blood as his eyes ran from corner to corner.

He finds a picture of his family by the bed, funny how Larry nor Lily still saw it. He tried to predict how the needed up dead inside the office. One of his parents must’ve been hurt and then came inside, his dad might’ve tried to be a hero and stayed inside and soon both of them were gone.

He tore his part from the family picture. Just then, Carly busted him. She told him that she knew exactly who he was. He was a teacher in Athens and killed a senator for sleeping with his wife. Lee told that none of his past mattered since the apocalypse was already here. Carly disagreed, she told that people wouldn’t believe him especially because the apocalypse was there.

They all headed out and Glenn’s message came up from the radio. He told that he got stuck at the motor inn and he needed rescuing. He asked Kenny to stay on guard while he would take Carly with him.

Before heading out, Lee picked up the TV remote and gave it to Doug. Somehow, Doug programmed the remote to turn on all the television in the TV shop on the other side. That wasn’t enough to attract all the zombies though as the sound was low.

Lee came back in and asked Carly to join him for the motor inn.

At The Motor Inn

They came in close contact with a zombie as soon as they got there. Luckily, “it” didn’t notice them. They found Glenn hiding in a box. Glenn mentions of a girl that got stuck on the second storey of the place. Glenn and the girl talked and she asked him to leave her be and started to make noise so he had to flee.
Lee and Glenn agreed to do a rescue mission, Carly reluctantly agreed to it.

They stuck tor he outer walls of the place and found a zombie in solitary.

They used a pillow to reduce the noise of the gun shot and sends the zombie back to the world of void.

Inside the car, they found a spark plug. Glenn took it and broke the thing, inside he picked up the porcelain that renders the glass of cars as tissues.

Lee smashes it on a mini truck’s glasses and inside was a screwdriver, a perfect post-apocalyptic melee weapon that would do a one shot kill to the head. They went back tor eh car and pushed it back toward where a zombie was minding his own business. And so, it got stuck behind the car.

Lee killed a few more zombies before gifting it to a zombie stuck behind a car. Glenn pointed to the hatchet beside the dead zombie, his new and improved weapon.

They made the area secure before asking the poor girl to come out. Everyone saw the blood splatter on her belly area, needless to say, she got bitten. She kept asking them to leave and leave her be but Glenn didn’t listen. She told that her boyfriend came back after he was bitten and turned into one of those monsters and now she got herself bitten.

She saw Carly’s gun and asked to borrow it, she wanted to end herself as she didn’t want to turn into one of those “satanic” creatures. This showed that she was a very Christian lady.

Lee and Carly wouldn’t allow and so she struggled to get a hold of it. In the scuffle, the wooden pillar broke and they fell to the ground. The girl somehow gets the gun and points it to her skull. Lee tries to calm things down and gave her hope that everything would be fine once they get her to a doctor.
But, she pulled the trigger.

Back At The Drugstore

Lee finds the last battery needed for the radio. He turns it on and found one of the stations by the name WABE still on. It asked the listeners to stay indoors and refrain from having close contact with the individuals that have been exposed. And moments later, the narrator announces that his producer asked him to get off the air. His final announcement on air was, “God bless us all” and the final station was closed as well. Carly knew the narrator, his name was Steve.

Lee uses his hatchet to break the lock on the outside of the Drugstore. He picks up the brick and hurled it toward the tv store. The sound attracts all the zombies and this gave him the chance to get the keys from his brother.

He showed remorse for not being there for them as he has one final chat with his brother.

And so, his brother was no more and he became a “homeless” guy. No family, no friends, no relatives in this world.

The keys he secured allowed him to enter the pharmacy through the office but it also triggered the burglar alarm. That attracted all the nearby zombies toward the Drugstore.

Survival Of The Fittest

The place was being served from all entrances and there were not many people to defend it. Kenny instructs everyone on a particular area. For defending the place, Lee, Doug, and Carly were chosen while his family and Lily’s would get to the car.

The windows were cracked so Doug went over and the door that was covered got taken down so Carly went over. That left Lee all alone at the gates. He asked Clementine to get something strong and durable. She brought his dad’s cane. So, his part was clear but…

It Was Choosing Time

Carly ran out of bullets and got captured by a zombie.

Doug was being pulled by multiple zombies as he tried to block them off.

I chose Carly after careful consideration.

And just then Kenny came running in asking everyone to head for the car.

Clementine and Carly ran but Larry was at the door, waiting for Lee. His plan was to end him where his parents died. Thankfully, Kenny came back for him.

The remaining people made it safely to the motel. Glenn heard from the radio that the area where his friends and family were was getting overrun and he wanted to head out for them. So, he drove off with a car.

Lee thanks Kenny for the save, Clementine lost her walkie-talkie, the only memory of her parents. Carly was sad that Doug couldn’t be saved.
