X Blue Analytics Report, April 1 2024

It's time for another X Blue Analytics Report. This week, it may look bad, but with impressions down 37 percent and still over 3,000, that's not bad at all. When you consider that last week was a stellar week.

I'll take a 37 percent dip any time off an all-time high.

Of course, almost all metrics declined from last week's metrics where every stat saw an upward trend. The two exceptions this week were New Followers, which increased by 46 percent (I acquired 19 new followers) and reposts, which increased by 7.1 percent over the week before. The biggest decline was Replies with a 78 percent decrease from the previous week.

Impressions and Engagements

Impressions over the last 28 days was 23.3 thousand. That's not bad. Over the last 7 days, they were 3.7 thousand. My posts averaged 432 impressions per day during that timeframe.

The two standout days were Sunday, March 31 and Tuesday, March 26 when impressions were 692 and 642, respectively.

This week's engagement rate was 2.3 percent, down from 3.6 percent the week before. My best day for engagement was March 26 when engagement rate was 4.0 percent. It slowly declined throughout the week.

I only had one link click all week, but retweets without comments average 2 per day. Again, March 26 was the standout day, with 6 retweets.

Likes tells a similar story. March 26 saw the highest number of likes with 17. The numbers declined throughout the week with a total of 37 likes all week. That amounts to an average of 5 per day.

Replies were scattered, with Friday, March 29 registering the highest number at 3. My posts saw a total of 9 replies all week.

Top Posts

And now for my favorite part of the report.

My top post this past 7 days saw 299 impressions. The second highest had 49 and the third had 43. These are the posts:

• Published March 30, a post on my book publishing practices had the most impressions
• Published March 26, a retweet of a tweet by @threespeak about the difference between traditional business and Web3 business
• Published March 27, a post announcing my first day of setting up a book table in Burleson, Texas

The posts with the highest number of engagements were the same posts with 6, 4, and 4, respectively.

The highest engagement rates for the past 7 days were 11.8 percent, 11.1 percent, and 10 percent. Those posts were, respectively:

• my Happy Easter post, published yesterday
• a twitter thread about my writing process, published March 29.
• a short tweet about what I've learned while selling books in grocery stores, published Thursday, March 28

In some ways, this week was anomalous. In other ways, it was par for the course. I have no disappointments. All in all, not a bad week. And I'm super-excited about 19 new followers, which brings my follower count to 418.
