X Blue Metrics for March 11

I'm back for another X Blue analytics report.

This week, my impressions fell while engagement rate went up. This is a recurring theme. From week to week, one metric will fall while the other rises. The next week, they reverse.

Impressions for the past seven days fell 52 percent. That seems like a drastic drop until you realize engagement rate skyrocketed 72 percent.

Profile visits fell 50 percent while my new follower count went up 22 percent meaning I picked up 11 new followers this past week. Now I'm up to 423 followers.

Link clicks went up 100 percent, replies went up 275 percent, and media views went up 181 percent. Likes and reposts fell 14 percent and 10 percent, respectively.

Now, what does that look like at the granular level?

Impressions and Engagements

As you can see from the chart below, my posts earned 219 impressions per day on average in the last 7 days. The best day was Wednesday, March 6 when posts earned 360 impressions. The two days on either side of March 6 saw 256 and 245 impressions. On Saturday, March 9, my posts earned 215 impressions. After that, the other days fell below 200.

Still, impressions for the week were fairly steady.

This week's engagement rate was 3.5 percent. March 6 was a standout day with a 6.6 percent engagement rate. The day before, my engagement rate was 5.5 percent. Engagement rate was 3.3 percent on March and under 3 percent every other day of the week.

Link clicks weren't that impressions, mostly because I don't include a lot of links in my posts, and retweets average one per day.

There was considerable variability in likes and replies with likes averaging 3 per day and replies averaging 2 per day.

Top Posts

The top post this week had 38 impressions. The next two in line saw 35 and 34, respectively.

The post post for impressions was a post about bitcoin's new all-time high, published on March 6. It was actually a Twitter thread.

The post with the second highest number of impressions, published the next day, was a post about altcoins.

The post with the third highest number of impressions, published on March 9, was a picture of my book table at a grocery store.

With a 15.8 percent engagement rate, the post with the highest number of impressions also had the highest engagement rate. The second highest engagement rate, 14.8 percent, was for a picture of my book table on March 6. The third highest engagement rate for the past 7 days was 13.3 percent. That post, published March 5, was my X Blue Metrics Report for March 5, which I repurposed from @InLeo.

In terms of raw engagement, the post with the most engagements was, again, the post with the highest number of impressions. It had 6 total engagements. Tied for second, with 4 total impressions each, were the two posts with the second and third highest engagement rates.

Not a bad week even though impressions declined from the previous week by more than half. At least the posts saw better engagement.
