From Arc de Triomphe to the Louvre

Who likes a short journey to Paris can for example take the train from Basel,Switzerland directly to Paris, thanks to a maximum speed of 320 km/h the train TGV Lyria covers the 415 km from Basel to Paris in about only 3 hours. For the trip from Basel to the center of Paris with the TGV train you have the fastest and most comfortable means of transport. It is possible to have a quick lunch there, business or a walk through the city, see some attractions and then return in the evening back.
The Arc de Triomphe is one of the most significant monuments in Paris and the second largest triumphal arc in the world, was ordered to be built on August 15, 1806 by Napoleon. It is a tourist attraction on the same level as the Eiffel Tower, the Sacre Coeur Basilica and Notre Dame. The Arc is monumental situated in the heart of the city next to the Champs Elysee and has an ancient Roman architecture.

and last but not leas the Louvre museum the most visited as well as the largest museum in the world. Originally built as a fortress in 1190, the Louvre was converted into a royal palace about 16th century. You can see inside among the other amazing art collections even behind the safety glass the Mona Lisa which was estimated in 2020 at about 860 million dollars,when you are lucky and can go in, unfortunately it always has long waiting times.
