Sublime Beautiful Sunday
Hello everyone, I invite you today to a short sublime and beautiful tour what I just made a month ago in Stein am Rhein. As in the city name mentioned is certainly along the Rhine river, next to the border to Germany.
These wonderful painted house facades were the first ones awarded with the Wakker Prize in 1972. According Wikipedia, the Wakker Prize is a prize awarded by the Swiss Heritage Society, for exemplary preservation of the townscape. The prize has been awarded once a year since 1972 and is financed with 20,000 Swiss francs. It is named after the businessman Henri-Louis Wakker, who donated part of his property to the Heritage Society.
Amazing charming old town you feel like you are in a real beautiful fairy tales.
