The town hall in Basel
Basel is always worth a trip. First of all the town hall, a 500 years old building in the middle of the old town of Basel, directly at the market place, it has a really remarkable architecture with the red facade, the imposing tower and the decorative paintings on the front attracts many tourists.
A city on the Rhine in northwestern Switzerland not far from the borders with France and Germany full of exciting contrasts in which historical buildings meet modern architecture with world-famous museums and a young, lively art culture.
More views from the city symbol of Basel the Middle Bridge. It was opened in 1226 and is one of the oldest crossings of the Rhine between Lake Constance and the North Sea.
