Openmic 91- Motivation to achieve| The energy never dies- The script(cover)
Hi guys!!!
For this week's openmic I've decided to go with an accapella performance.
Its mostly due to the fact that my guitar is not currently with me.
I went to the lake a few days ago with some new friend who are also singers and at the end of the day after we had sang and had fun i had to go somewhere i could not go with a guitar. I gave it to my friemd @db-charles who is
also a guitarist here on hive.
Please tell him to bring back my guitar when you see his entry for openmic this week.. lol
If i'm being fair though, it's not his fault, i should have gone over to his place and got it but it's been a hell of a week(as usual)
Here i have chosen to do this beautiful song by 'The script'.
When speaking of 'Motivation' which is the theme of this week's openmic this song realy captures the idea i think.
It expresses of the determination to keep up a positive attitude in whatever situiation we find ourselves which is how it should be.

hahaha, but, your acapella singing came out so GREAT, that maybe that guitar can stay with your friend :)))
lol, please give it back @db-charles ... I must admit that it felt very unnatural for me doing this acapella, however, It really exposed a lot of weaknesses in my singing and that for me is a positive. I would love to make more acapella videos and improve on that too.
This counts as a good experience, right? However, you did it well, of course, you may think there are things to improve... there are always things to improve in every single cover of performance we do :)
So, we will see in your next week's entry, have your friend listened to me and you hahahha ;))
That’s very true. We can always do better, but I really want to measure up to the standards here on the chain. I know it’s a process though, so I’d like to give it a better shot every time.

But come to think of it I don't mind doing another acapella, plus @db-charles will have to come to school at some point if he still values his education so I'll just improvise for the time being

Speaking of which, it would be a delight to have an international hive meet-up you know.
If hive stays on for a very long time i would be delighted to attend such a meet-up... Everyday i come to appreciate this community more as i see it's impact on my life in so many ways...
There were some international meetings, but the last two years they were held just in virtual reality.

Virtual isn’t that great in my opinion since you don’t really get to be with the people in the real sense of it.
