The hinterland community of Zebba is known for its large production of rice, wheat and other cereals. They are also good in the production of tuber crops like yam and potatoes. Their arable land is very ferrile as they do not even need to apply fertilizer for a high yield.

The Zebba community however have a big problem in that they have suffered for years as a result of poor road networks and bridges. This have hampered the evacuation of farm produce with ease to other parts of the country. Most of these farm produce end up either being consumed (of course they cannot finish all) or get spoilt because of poor or lack of storage facilities.

One day, the youth volunteered to construct a bridge to ease their movement and also to take their farm produce to other parts of the country. The construction of the bridge took them over two years to complete. There was massive celebration when it was finally commissioned for use.

But one unfortunate thing happened just after two months of its usage. It started making some creaking sounds. The initial joy of having the bridge started to fade away. The youth had used a local construction company to construct the bridge. Well-meaning individuals had to raise some funds to engage a competent engineering firm to have a check of the bridge.

The engineering firm discovered some creaking joints on major parts of the bridge. This was as a result of substandard materials used in the construction the bridge. It advised that the bridge have to be pulled down completely and a new one constructed because there is no remedy for it.
