The government troops pursued the terrorists who ran into the woods believing the troops will retreat. However, that was not to be as the government troops defied the difficult landscape and kept pursuing the terrorists and overtook and surrounded all of them. The terrorists had no choice but to surrender.

I know roughly where that landscape is ... those terrorists did well to surrender, because there is nothing like the terror of that landscape on a cold night with no shelter! Good story!
