Larry Is Alive #072 I Am Alive Challenge

Hello everyone and happy weekend. The weather has been cold for some days now owing to regular rainfall. It started as early as 4:00AM today and ended about two hours later. The rains tried to hold and delay Larry thr postman from doing his routine job. Larry however opted to take a look at today in #history while waiting for the rain to subside. Here are the interesting facts in today in #history which Larry shares with us. Here we go:

Gentlemen, do you know that on this day in 1964, Jawaharlal Nehru, a former Indian Prime Minister and a key figure in the 1930s and 1940s Indian independence struggle, passed away in New Delhi.

Do you also know that on this day in 1889, the American petrochemical corporation South Penn Oil Co., later Pennzoil Company, was founded in Pennsylvania.

Moreso, on this day in 1660, Sweden and Denmark-Norway signed the Treaty of Copenhagen, putting an end to a period of hostilities between the two nations and contributing to the creation of the contemporary borders between Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

Finally, on this day in 1999, Slobodan Milosevic (Yugoslav and Serbian political leader, President of Serbia (1989–97) and of Yugoslavia (1997–2000), was indicted by the International War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague for crimes against humanity.
