Larry Is Alive 10 April 2024: I Am Alive Challenge

Hello everyone and warm welcome to my Larry hunt for tuesday, the 10th day of April, 2024. The UCL continues today with more exciting quarter final matches. Athletico Madrid host Borussia Dortmund while PSG play host to La Liga giants Barcelona. Athletico is presently leading Dortmund by (2-0) while the PSG vs Barcelona match is goalless at the moment.

Larry then veers off to have a look at today in #history.

Larry begins his look at today in history from the world of space exploration. He finds out that on this day in 2019, Astronomers revealed the first image of a black hole, which is located in the heart of the huge galaxy M87.

From the world of space exploration, Larry goes to the Netherlands. He finds out that on this day in 2001, The Netherlands enacted the bill permitting euthanasia, thus becoming the first country in the world to approve legislation allowing for euthanasia.

From the Netherlands, Larry goes to Ireland. He finds out that on this day in 1998, The Good Friday Agreement, which called for devolved governance in Northern Ireland, was signed; the following month, Ireland and Northern Ireland ratified the agreement.

From Ireland, Larry goes to Japan. He finds out that on this day in 1988, after a decade of construction, the Seto Great Bridge, which spans Japan's Inland Sea, was opened to traffic.

From Japan, Larry goes to Pakistan. He finds out that on this day in 1973, Pakistan adopted its third constitution, which elevated Zulfikar Ali Bhutto from President to Prime Minister.

Finally, Larry rounds off his look at today in #history from Mexico. He finds out that on this day in 1917, Emiliano Zapata, a guerrilla fighter for agrarianism during and after the Mexican Revolution (1910-20), was ambushed and shot to death.

Having seen all these pieces of historical events, Larry zooms off to begin his daily deliveries.
