Larry Is Alive #216 December 20, 2023: I Am Alive Challenge

Hello everyone and warm welcome to my Larry hunt for wednesay, the 20th day of December, 2023. Manchester City finally crushed Urawa Red Diamond (0-3) to make.it to the Club World Cup finals.

Similarly, in the EFL cup matches played yesterday, Everton vs Fulham ended in a (1-1). But Fulham won 7-6 on penalties. Again, in another match between Chelsea vs Newcastle United, it also ended in a (1-1) draw but Chelsea won 4-2 on penalties. Today, Liverpool will face WestHam United for a bait in the semi finals. Larry then turns his attention to have a look at today in #history.

Larry begins his look at today in history from China. He finds out that on this day in 1999, 12 years after an agreement was signed between China and Portugal, Macau became a special administrative area under Chinese sovereignty, ending centuries of Portuguese rule.

From China, Larry goes to the USA. He finds out that on this day in 2019, President Donald Trump of the United States signed the National Defence Authorization Act, which established the Space Force, a new branch of the United States military.

From the USA, Larry goes to Ethiopia. He finds out that on this day in 1974, Ethiopia became a socialist state under the leadership of Mengistu Haile Mariam.

From Ethiopia, Larry goes to Pakistan. He finds out that on this day in 1971, President Agha Mohammad Yahya Khan of Pakistan handed over power to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

From Pakistan, Larry goes to Vietnam. He finds out that on this day in 1960, the Vietnamese National Liberation Front was established with the goal of reuniting North and South Vietnam.

Finally, Larry rounds off his look at today in #history from South Korea. He finds out that on this day in 1927, Kim Young-sam was a South Korean politician, moderate opposition leader, and president from 1993 to 1998.

Having seen all these pieces of historical events, Larry zooms off to begin his daily deliveries.
