My Foray Into the Crypto World and Hive - QC Contest #15

The word crypto has been much talked about for years and I came to think that it was only referring to the one and only popular coin Bitcoin. In that, whenever "crypto" is mentioned I associate it with Bitcoin and I am sure I was not the only person in this category. Those were my level of understanding until I began to make a personal research on the subject.

That research of course led me to discover that there are other forms of cryptocurrencies that exist alongside Bitcoin. The likes of Ethereum, Dogecoin, Litecoin, Egold, **Hive and so on.

In a bid to get any of these form of cryptocurrencies I joined the blockchain blogging platform known as and called Steemit in 2017. Within the same period, I also earned my first crypto and which is Elrond Egold. I was really glad the day it hits my trustwallet.

With the passage of time I began earning some other coins mostly from airdrops and all that. I was also navigating my way in Steemit but getting rewards thereat was really not encouraging. My activities on the Steemit platform hit a lull and I took a break. Within that interval a friend of mine @ddn688 talked me into joining another blockchain blogging platform which he says was better. He encouraged me to open an account and give it a trial. I reluctantly obliged him opened an account on Hive sometime in 2021 and honestly I must say that I am enjoying my life on the hive blockchain.

Hive has given me the opportunity to earn from publishing quality contents. I have also made quite good friends from all over the world. So in addition to earning something I also socialise as well as learning new things from various persons.
