Hive blog 51: city life| who are the busiest today?

Its another day to look forward for. The opening of the face to face classes for the school year 2022 will start next week. Kids are excited for sure but parents are frantically buying the school requirements.
I am not parent yet, so I may not know how that feels. But I do understand the needs of my nieces and nephews. I can only give a bit of cash to help. Not much but its appreciated. I am happy to help. I wished I can have more extra funds so I can help more.

We were here at the national bookstore. I came with my friend to buy her daughter's needs. She bought notebook, pen, folders, color paper and others. She came with a list. She has to find the right colors that the teacher requires. As I help here find their needs, I was also brought back to the past remembering how it was like as a student. Back then,my parents didn't buy much for our requirements on school because of my brothers job. He before worked in a school supplies factory. I remembered everytime the opening of the class started, he would loan from his employer and sent it to us. We were so excited when the box of school supplies arrived at our home.

The national bookstore is busy at this time of the year. This is the oldest school supplies shop that are well known here with many branches in many big cities. The go to to every Filipinos who are looking just about everything that the kids and students, teachers and for office supplies. They are the trusted shop I may say. Are you a 'laking National?' I remembered how I was frequent on Mango Branch at Cebu, my employer always asked me to buy her books there. I remembered buying the whole series of 'Twilight Saga' when it was launched for her. She loved to read, and I was lucky I could read the book after her.

The opening of the face to face classes in the Philippines. Its been two years already. That two years were on modular. Two years that the kids are not studying on the school. I wonder how that feels. I bet its gonna be so exciting for them. My salute to parents who are responsible and supportive to their kids education. Keep it up parents.
