Caturday , In The Plum Tree

I haven't written a caturday post in quite a while, but my cat decided to make this an easy post to write.

Shitaki, the big black garden cat likes to spend the day outside in the yard if it's nice out, and if I'm outside. A couple of days ago, I was out in the yard working, and the cat was looking for chipmunks around the wood pile. One of my neighbors was out walking his dog, so he stopped to talk for a bit. His dog was patrolling the garden fence trying to figure out how to get inside. As we were talking, I heard a noise that sounded like a growl, so I turned to look, and saw that Shitaki was up in the plum tree. I had to grab the camera to get some pictures.

Apparently, the dog must have spooked the cat, because this is the first time I've ever seen her climb a tree.

She had been further up the tree, but by the time I got my camera, she was trying to figure out how to get back down from the tree.

This plum tree is full of thorns, and she really didn't like that very much.

She was definitely taking her time getting from one branch to the next.

From here, she was able to jump to the ground, the branch is about 4 feet from the ground. I think she had a bit more of an adventure than she was planning on that day. 😀
