Dear readers, currently in my country Venezuela because of the difficult economic situation, the high rates of migration and added to the pandemic has been reflected in many people of different ages a great depression and anxiety, something that can be observed without being a specialist in the area, by the behavior and mood projected by some people.

How can we know if we suffer from pressure and anxiety?

Some psychology specialists, such as Piqueras and collaborators (2008), mentioned that depression originates when there is the presence of continuous sadness, fear of what will happen tomorrow, feeling guilty for anything and in some cases the person closes himself and does not enjoy the beautiful things in life, but focuses more on the negative and on his weaknesses than on the positive.

That is to say, these are some of the symptoms that can present a person who suffers or is presenting depressive problems which is accompanied by anxiety. On the other hand, the same authors point out that anxiety is often caused by the panic that some people feel when facing a new situation to which they feel they are not prepared and think they are not capable enough to face it.

According to the aforementioned, the self-esteem of some people can be affected, people are susceptible to any comment or criticism, besides it can be seen in their behavior a kind of hopelessness that everything may improve at some point, for this reason they tend to avoid frequent outings either to family events or meetings between friends, observing extreme cases of homicides, because people enter into a total crisis.

Therefore, in this difficult situation, in addition to the professional assistance that the person should receive, from my point of view an important link that can help the person regain confidence and get out of the emotional crisis is the support of family and friends, since, anyone who suffers from this type of emotional problems needs to be understood and heard and thus find the unconditional support they need so much and thus can see life from another beautiful perspective, happy, overcoming every obstacle and be proud to be who you are.

hi @amestyj - it is an important issue and impacts people all around the world. You are right, that friends and family are so important. When someone is feeling depressed or they are impacted by anxiety, sometimes a change in scene will help. Too much time to think about things usually just amplifies the difficult situation. Lets try to support others - great topic.

I have upvoted already but also have a glass of !wine on me.

Hello friend, in a good observation on your part, a change of environment could help a person suffering from depression, because as you say, if you think about the same things all the time, the person will never get out of the state of depression.

See you later, thank you for your visit to my blog, thank you for the glass of wine, have a great week!

Hello @amestyj. We can say that depression and anxiety are the most common emotional disorders today, especially in this context of so much uncertainty, which only intensifies our concerns, especially in the economic issue. And certainly the support of family and friends is essential to overcome them. Greetings!

As a patient who suffers from anxiety, I want to recommend that it is very important to have an adequate diet, and I am not only talking about having access to the correct foods, but about knowing how to do it.chew, and enjoy that moment. It is also very important to eat at the right times and especially to have a correct breakfast.

In addition to the support of friends and family, it is very important to have a hobby in which to occupy the time, in this way the mind is occupied and does not allow idle thoughts.

It is also a very good idea to exercise daily.
