THEIR WORDS AGAINST HIS
They were so happy together and were blessed with twin daughters. He was a businessman and she was a teacher in one of the local school in town.
Then came the fire outbreak that burned down his shop and goods worth millions were lost in the blazing fire. He tried to bounce back again but the economy of the company made it futile.
The salary that his wife was earning was barely enough to foot their bills and after three years of frustration, the wife got an offer from her cousin that stays in a foreign country to join her over there.
This was a sacrifice that they had to make atleast for the sake of their eleven years old twins daughters.
And so she left for the foreign land for a green pasture and he was to take care of the girls.
The first two years was tough for her but she made sure to send money back home to her family every month. She started smiling to the bank during her third year in the foreign country which turned their family around for good. She even bought a nice car and sent home to her family.
During the fifth year she was able to get a leave from work and travelled to spend time with her family. The husband was happy to receive her wife and the twins were thrilled.
Two weeks to her departure date, the twins had a huge fight with their father and the aftermath of that fight broke their family apart.
They confided to their mother that their father was having canal knowledge of them.
She cried her eyes out that night as she left the house to a hotel. This is not what she bargained for. She felt like she failed her girls. Meanwhile he denied all that the twins said and she could swore that he was lying.
She made arrangement and travelled back with her girls afterwhich she served him divorce papers. He pleaded and pleaded but her mind was made up.
Eight years later the twins were in her room crying...
He was just too hard on us and never wanted us to go party with the girls. We got tired of living with him and so decided to find a way to convince you to take us along. We are sorry for lying against papa.
The End

@amiableamara, It is unfortunate what happened with your business, many times in life we have to make certain sacrifices for the welfare of the family and how bad was the attitude of the twins, who did not value the sacrifice of their parents and caused the divorce. thanks for your story.

I think I saw a tv show that is kind of similar; a mother accused her husband of touching their daughters and separated from him. This supposedly happened when the girls were still little. She even went further to accuse one of the daughters of actually liking it and carrying a baby for her father. Years later, during the show, it was discovered that the woman had lied and she had to apologise to her ex husband and her daughters.
One of the take aways from that show for me, and maybe from your story as well is to never use your experiences as a yardstick to define other people. That you had such a horrific experience doesn't mean you should let it colour everything you see. Families are a fragile unit most times.
It's unfortunate that the twins would be so ungrateful to their father just to travel with their mother.
They could have just asked to be with her.
