Afternoon wet run in Chiavari, Liguria, Italy.
Yesterday I finished a 9.617km running that lasted about 0hh:58mm:33ss !
Yesterday afternoon, after so many days of excuses not to do it, I finally went out for a run: it's been too long since I've done it and I almost felt the physical need to!
I wanted to run barefoot, but the road was too wet and my feet (specifically, their skin) too out of practice!
So, wisely, I wore my fivefingers.
I love running here in Chiavari because it's so busy with other runners, the sight of whom inspires me to run better and more!
In fact, that's how it was: I followed in the wake of another runner, and I started off with a decent pace (for how little I'm trained) that I maintained for almost 10 km.
I am very satisfied, because I probably stopped at the maximum limit of my muscle contracture (my right calf still has some memory... I have to be careful not to relapse into injury).
This was my first run of the year, and to paraphrase a saying, "wet run, lucky run"?
A huge hug!
