Who could have thought?

I sat down wondering what the problem was until I was able to figure out why.

For the record, I am a very active lover of Hive blockchain but suddenly, my fire began to grow cold for some reason, maybe the offline world was too overwhelming that I was struggling to find my balance and truth be told I miss my activeness with every fibre of my being.

Who noticed? Haha, I was too surprised to get a message from a few people here on the blockchain asking what happened even though I tried so hard to post daily, they knew it wasn't the level of engagement or post I used to do and they reached out to know why, well thank you for your love.

2024 has been a rough one, multi-tasking is a woman thing but then there are levels to these things.

Am I ready to find a way around everything? Oh yes, I am! I have also reached out to a few people to get help on how to manage my offline and my online presence lately and I am glad with the tips they've shared with me.

For a couple of weeks now, it started with me being under the weather due to the Harmattan season and then after that, I had so many offline projects to attend to and it's a new one which made it hard for me to follow my daily writing schedule.

As if that wasn't enough whenever I found a little time to write here writer's block began to hit me on a steady which was a bit funny to me, the last time I battled with this kind of writer's block was when I first joined Hive and now it's hitting again, even after seeing so many prompts to write on hehe.

The lack of motivation began to hit and gradually, I began to procrastinate, then AFCON (African Cup of Nations) came, and surprisingly I watched almost all the teams playing which also stole most of my time.

Well, I have figured out my problem and thankfully AFCON has finally ended so I can focus now, and as for the new offline project I have decided to create a new writing schedule which will help me manage both offline and online successfully.

I went through my hive goals which are pinned on my blog and smiled because I know if I don't find a way out I will never reach that goal, so here is a wake-up call for me to strive to do better and not give up the fight to reach my goals.

How about writer's block and what could be the problem? Well, I have little or no control over that one and I hope I come off it soon just like I did when I first joined Hive I know the first step is to be intentional and determined to pen something down no matter how hard it is, so maybe when it hits again, I could write about what happened in my hood for that day or what's trending on the news or just about anything.

In conclusion, I will try my best to reduce the distractions around me to be more productive here on the chain, one step to getting back better and stronger is writing it down like I've just done to find ways to stay focused.

So I was wondering if I am the only one lacking the motivation at times or does it happens to anyone too. I would love to hear from you and if you don't mind you can also offer ways to help me come off my current struggle.

Hang it there, you are not alone, I feel overwhelmed sometimes as well with my offline life and keeping up with my hive activities.

As a woman, there are a lot of challenges facing us daily trying to draw us away from our goals but we must try to stay grounded, one task at a time, and sometimes it is okay as well to take a break, refresh, and come back stronger.

I think the only person that does not relate with what you're going through.... should be a robot.

Life happens, it's inevitable. We can make plans all we want but when we wake up to face the day, the cycle of life flows.

Like you said, taking yourself away from the distractions will help. As for the writer's block, you can unwind by watching a movie or going out for a long walk to observe new sceneries. Do something that is not a task for yourself, something you enjoy and you will see the thoughts flow.

Most of all, have time to rest... wishing you a great day.

So many things happen in our offline lives that affect our motivation, so you are not alone dear. Personally, I just had to wake myself up to get things done on Hive.

Let's keep doing our best. We will eventually reach our goals if we keep trying.

I think it happens to most of us, Amie. It's good that you recognize it and are willing to push through. You can do it 💪 I'm being challenged as well. I'm so loving my offline time these days 😊

Lol don't force yourself if you can't or don't feel like doing it. We need our downtime so we don't get burned out. 😉

I’m currently going through the same thing, for me I just take a break. Once you’ve gotten that your needed break you’ll feel refresh again. Like I will always tell people don’t take or see Hive as a chore, the moment you see it that way you sap all the fun from it. See it like other social media platforms but the only difference is that you get rewarded for your activities.

I agree with you, Hive is no chore and should be done like we don with other social media. Thank you for sharing your thoughts here.

I will say you should just stay focus and think of the days when you’ve achieved all your goals. Think of your future self, that should be a great motivation for you.

I also got inactive in the month of January and it was a busy month. I think everyone has something going on in their personal life so it’s better to solve those problems at first and then be on social media otherwise it would be a headache to handle everything at once.

It's possible you need to take a little time to sit and think about what is ausing you to feel the way you do.

it may be something that needs addressed, or it may just be a passing mood because of being busy.

but identifying the cause will be of benefit either way

Multitasking could be overwhelming some times. Some offline activities would get you used up to the extent that the time you were supposed to spend online was used to rest.
I believe that you are on your way out of the writer's block. Your goal is achievable.
