I desire to become a better version of myself in 2023.

Every year comes with its resolution, however, do I ever fulfill my set goals for the year?
To the best of my ability, I do, but sometimes uncertainties take over,
But thankfully I achieved a lot this year and I'm proud of myself for coming this far, yes! 2022 has taught me so many lessons and in fact, it wasn't a year of smooth rides but I am still happy I conquered.

2022 will be almost over in about a few hours.
It has been our family custom to stay grateful no matter the hurdles we must have encountered every year.

Once it is midnight of the next year, we gather together as a family and give thanks to our heavenly father for sparing our lives, we pray every day, but the day is a day of gratitude, with no request to God just praises and thanks.

I have goals set for each year and they are classified onto various categories.
Spiritual goals
Health goals
Financial goals
Self-improvement goals
Business goals
House chores goals
Writing and podcast goals
And Familial goals

My spiritual goals
I have made plans on how to draw ever closer to my maker.
Create more time to read the Bible and pray.
Mediate and reflect on his beautiful works of creation that will in turn help me appreciate the beauty of life.

Health goals
I would love to exercise more in 2023, so I have set strategies to achieve this.
I would ensure I exercise thrice a week, eat healthily, get enough sleep, reduce my intake of sugary food and look for ways to manage stress.

Financial goals
Financial independence is very important, so I have made it my goal to save a certain amount of money each month.
This calls for discipline, no more unnecessary spending, and also this means avoiding debts too.
I plan to get a new phone too next year as this has battery and screen issues. So I'll ensure I save up to get myself a phone and then save up for the rainy days.

Self-improvement goals
Because I want to be a better person, I have made plans to be better than I was in 2022.
These goals include;
Mindfulness: Being present in life and living life to the full.
Driving skills: I really want to learn how to drive in 2023. So I would be learning that during the summer.
Self-Affirmation: Speaking positivity into my life and not doubting my abilities to soar and make things happen.
Kindness: Show constant effort to be kind to people around me, both to friends, family, and even strangers. ( in words and indeed) I feel the world needs more kindness because life is already hard.
Self-evaluation; I would evaluate my goals every three months to know how well I'm doing.

Business goals
I hope to buy an industrial sewing machine to complement the other manual machines I have.
I want to buy a rechargeable standing fan for my store, the one I had before is bad.
Learn newer styles on YouTube, complete my graphic design course, and become even better.
Post at least thrice a week on my business handles on Facebook and Instagram.

Housechores goals
I want to restrategize to balance work and house chores.
I'm creating a new schedule list on how to manage the house chores at home.
Days for laundry and other tedious chores will be highlighted so I don't get overwhelmed with house chores.

Writing goals and podcast goals
I have created a schedule on how to meet up writing here.
Each day has been set aside for the communities I will be publishing to.

That way I would be focused and it makes it easier to engage in other people's posts.
I will ensure I engage in the community I posted to for the day. A great idea isn't it?

As for my podcast, every Sunday, I will ensure I talk about a topic for the week.
That way, I wouldn't be disorganized and still be consistent, I have created topics that will last for three months.
Each week has its topics, so I can prepare ahead of time.

Familial bond
I will make it my priority to call momma almost every day, I want the bond to be even closer.
I would reach out to my loved ones, families, and friends and try to spend more time with the people I care about.

All of these are what I hope to achieve in 2023.
I have started making plans and I have implemented some.

I have made a friend my accountability partner who would help me reach these goals.

I am doing this because it is the right thing to do and because I do not compete with anyone, I am doing this for myself and my future, to be a better person and an asset to myself, my loved ones, and my community at large.

I hope to have a kinder and softer year and I hope for the best in 2023.
And I honestly wish the best for you reading this too.
Love ❤️ and Light 💡.

This is amazing. Your goals are of course realistic.

Once it is midnight of the next year, we gather together as a family and give thanks to our heavenly father for sparing our lives, we pray every day, but the day is a day of gratitude, with no request to God just praises and thanks.

I love this really… it is a moment of gratitude.. a moment of happiness. Crossover is a new feeling… that we just want to make the best out of the new year.

You own a podcast channel, how is it going?

I hope you achieve those goals.

Well, I will be sharing a post about my easy bullet journal which can help you achieve your goals more. You can follow me not miss it.

Thanks for sharing. Happy new year in advance.

Hi @amiegeoffrey, I congratulate you for your achievements this year, thanking God for the things you didn't achieve this year is the best attitude. I like the way you classified your needs and priorities, I know that with a lot of encouragement and effort you will achieve it.
