My Favourite Game.

What did you hear about card games, WHOT especially?

Growing up with a lot of friends and siblings around me made me fall in love with the card game called WHOT.

This card can be played in different ways, it can be played alone, with a friend or bunch of friends.

What I love most about this game is how it enables you to be calculative at alert so you don't lose.

When playing with friends, there are so many rules to this game, some people remove the (I need card) 20whot as seen in the picture below, some say it makes the game a little bit boring and I do not like playing with the I need a card too.

This I need card is used to change the shape of the card when you don't have it, you ask for the shape you want.

There are cards designed to punish you if you are about to check up, cards like the pick two, go on generally market, hold on and the like.

This game can be played by pairing the same numbers or the same shape irrespective of the number on the card.

This game teaches you that nobody is your friend, because as soon as you utter the "last card," you see your enemies coming for you🤣🤣🤣, pick two, go on the general market or hold on just to stop you from winning the game.

At this point, you have to be very secretive with your game and calculate very well so that your winning might be possible.

I enjoy playing this game the most with my sister, she has a way of storing those cards (cards 2,14,1) for the dying minute when she decides to be wicked.

This game can also be played in the form of the person with the highest numbers on their cards being out of the game if the people playing the game are many.

Here you just have to look for ways to get rid of the card with high numbers to stay in the game.

But I love the Jackpot the most because it has a way of bonding people.

Jackpot is usually played in pairs, you pick a partner and make a sign, maybe scratching your hair, sliding your feet, winking, pouting, clearing your throat or any kind of sign you can come up with that will make your opponent confused and hard to detect that your card is complete.

Five cards will be given to each person with a different shape, and you'll have to keep passing them around until you have just one shape about four of them then you alert your partner with your sign and when your partner understands you, he or she says "Jackpot."

It is usually funny because sometimes your partner might not be looking at you when your card is complete and then your opponent might suspect you and say "suspect" which means you'll have to show them your card, if it's complete already your opponent wins and you lose.

I enjoyed playing this Jackpot with my siblings while we were younger and it remains my favourite game as it bonds us every evening, especially on weekends😅😅.

Writing this prompt took me down memory lane and I love how I feel at the moment.

The game of WHOT is a very interesting game. 😊 I can recollect playing it with my siblings during our childhood. I like the fact that one can play it in different ways by simply adjusting the rules.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your delightful memories and love for the card game WHOT. It's clear that WHOT holds a special place in your heart, and you've captured the essence of the game beautifully.

WHOT is indeed a versatile card game that can be played in various ways, and it often brings out the competitive spirit and strategy in players. The rules you mentioned about the "I need card" and the special cards like "pick two," "go on generally market," and "hold on" add layers of excitement and challenge to the game.

Your description of the game teaching you that "nobody is your friend" when you're about to win is both amusing and relatable. WHOT can be a rollercoaster of emotions, from triumph to frustration, and it keeps players on their toes until the very end.

The "Jackpot" variation you mentioned, where players communicate secretly with their partners to complete a set of cards, sounds like a lot of fun and a great way to bond with siblings and friends.

Thank you for taking us on a journey down memory lane and sharing the joy and camaraderie that WHOT brings. It's wonderful how games like WHOT can create lasting memories and connections with loved ones. 😄🃏
