Illasawiri: Tradition and energy || Illasawiri: tradición y energía

"Illasawiri, weavings of glowing energy". This was the definition of the exhibition that I enjoyed during my visit to the Museo de Bellas Artes de Chile. Art that allows you to appreciate, thanks to the Bolivian artist Aruma, the connection between the fabrics and the energy that travels between them. The whole magical composition allows us to interact in a visual and auditory way with the works, after the combination of electronics and ancestral weaving techniques that let us know about the creative process and feel it.

Illasawiri, intertwines the ancestral with new technologies, from the fiber threads, to the QR designs of some works, which allow you to link and know Quechua words, using the scanner of your cell phone.

Among my favorites I can highlight the work that has the shape of a hut, for its great luminous potential, and that when you enter it you can interact with it by placing your ring finger on a sensor located in the middle and causes a change of color or intensity in the lights of the fibers.

It is beautiful how you can enhance the traditional and at the same time combine it with new technologies. And allow us to synthesize the energy that is built in each fabric.

"Illasawiri", tejidos de energía resplandeciente". Así se definía la exposición que pude disfrutar en mi visita al Museo de Bellas Artes de Chile. Arte que te permite apreciar gracias a la artista boliviana Aruma, la conexión entre los tejidos y la energía que viaja entre ellos. Toda la composición mágica permite que interactuemos además de manera visual y auditiva con las obras, tras la combinación de la electrónica y técnicas de tejidos ancestrales que dejan conocer sobre el proceso creativo y sentirlo.

Illasawiri, entrelaza lo ancestral con las nuevas tecnologías, desde los hilos de fibra, hasta los diseños en QR de algunas obras, las cuales te permiten enlazar y conocer palabras quechuas, usando el escáner de tu teléfono móvil.

Entre mis favoritas puedo destacar la obra que tiene forma de choza, por su gran potencial luminoso, y que al adentrarte en ella puedes interactuar con la misma colocando el dedo anular en un sensor ubicado en el medio y provoca cambio de color o intensidad en las luces de las fibras.

Es hermoso como se puede enaltecer lo tradicional y a su vez conjugarlo con nuevas tecnologías. Y permitir que síntamos la energía que se construye en cada tejido.
