WHAT IS DEPRESSION?

Depression is a mood disorder that affects how you feel, behave or think that can lead to physical and emotional problems. It can cause a feeling of sadness or loss of interest that can lead to

  • Anxiety.
  • Lack of concentration.
  • Lack of sleep
  • Loss of interest
  • Negative thoughts
  • Anger outburst
  • Headache
  • Sucidal thoughts and so on
    Depression can affect your ability to function well and without treatment, depression can get worse and last longer than you think. It's a sickness that must be given proper medication and attention, if it is ignored it can lead to self harm & death.

WHAT CAUSES DEPRESSION:

  • Life events
  • Drug abuse
  • Abnormalities in brain chemical
  • Medical condition e.g cancer

HOW TO DEAL WITH DEPRESSION:

1.Set healthy daily goals for yourself.
2.Exercise yourself to boost feel-good chemicals called endorphins.
3.Eat healthy to help you feel better.
4.Get enough sleep to improve your health.
5.Get yourself involved in daily responsibilities to maintain a lifestyle that can deal with depression.
6.Challenge your mind to eradicate negative thoughts.
7.Always get in touch with your doctor before you use any medication.
8.Try out some new stuff like develope a new hobby
9.Be open to have fun and enjoy yourself.
10.Its advisable to avoid alcohol and other drugs that triggers depression.
