A day at the beach along the Hai Van pass in Da Nang

The next day was spent at the beach, there is nothing like the ocean for a while to bring everything back into view.

The rest and relaxing was just what was needed. A long time it has been that I have been on the road so there are days that are needed to stop and rest and take in a bit of the sounds of waves crashing.

Not he best sunny day to be laying on the beach but better then not sitting on the beach relaxing.

Perhaps it is time to take a stroll around the waters edge and feel the sand between my toes.

The slow walk down the beach reveals many times to me that i have not seen before...a round boat. Now how can that be....does it go straight for any length of time...?

Even more unique, a round boat for fishing. This I have to see. Ill keep not along the coast for when someone is using this type of boat and se if I can try my hand at paddling this round boat....hopefully not to China.

I come back to the space where my bike can be seen and sit and watch the horizon for a bit and then it all seems to fade away.

I lay there and feel warm, feel like someone put a warm blanket on me as I lay there listening to the sand rub against itself along the floor close to my ear.
I wonder what is happening, I was looking at the horizon and then it all went away, now I am warm laying here after being a bit cold.

The sun came out and warmed the space for us all to take in the warmth of the sun. How nice to fall asleep and wake to the sun.

Well it is time to move along so ill pack up and go to the next place for more to come.

These pictures were taken just off the road to the Hai Van pass in the province of Thua Thien Hue by the beach in town. Just up the road is Elephant Springs (Suoi Voi) between Da Nang and Hue. and you can read about that here: Elephant Springs . This beach spot along the Hai Van pass can be seen from town and best from the uphill road that Hai Van pass is. Having driven this road a few times I had a good idea of where a good beach spot would be. Have you been here, have you explored the area outside your back door?
