Fair points you bring up in this post. Rightly so, to comunicat clearly helps gain a wider audience.
The one idea I would present is that punctuation is used by writers to show the reader where emphasis, brakes, pause, etc should go for a meaning and flow. There is a structure and standard to the use of punctuation but a balance between clarity and style is a fine line.
Thanks for the insight on what you are looking for and how a good post can go bad really quick.
