Hello everyone and welcome to the Battle Weekly Challenge. This week the challenge is with Djinn Inferni, an epic Fire element card with the Giant Killer ability that belongs to the Chaos Legion edition.

In this particular battle we are facing a level 1 General Sloan. We are a bit ahead since we are using a level 2 summoner. A level 2 summoner is very good since it allows the use of common cards at level 3, rare cards at level 2, epic cards at level 2 and legendary cards at level 1. Nevertheless, let's see the rules, the team and the details of the battle.

Battle Rules

This is a 99 mana battle with the "Equal Opportunity" rule. All elements except Water and Death are allowed to play.

IconNameDescription
Equal OpportunityAll Monsters have the Opportunity ability.
  • Did you know: In the Fog of War ruleset, which prevents Sneak and Snipe, this ability still allows you to attack the back row.

My Lineup

Skargore lifted the hammer high, bringing it down to thunder against the red hot metal on the anvil. Sparks sprayed across the dark room like molten confetti. “When the hammer strikes, all shall witness its endeavors,” she called out. Skargore’s hand rose and fell, the hammer striking the steel and folding it. The sound rang out, echoing back from the far corners of the room. “When the hammer falls, all shall hear its struggle.” She set the hammer aside and thrust the glowing metal back into the furnace. She leaned on the bellows, filling the room with hot air. “When the hammer rests, there is still work to be done.” She released the tongs and turned around, looking at the apprentices standing before her. “Some days, I am a priest; others, a warrior; but no matter what I am, I will always be a smith.”

Skargore: I really like this summoner as it gives Enrage to all friendly monsters. Monsters with Enrage increase Melee attack and Speed when damaged.

Molten Ogre: I think this card is a very good tank as it has 11 HP (at level 3) and reduces the melee atack of all enemy monsters with its "Demoralize" ability.

Fineas Rage: In the second position I decided to use Fineas Rage. His high HP (8) and Speed (5) make him very useful as a second tank.

Caladuum: Caladuum is an amazing magic attack card with a nice combination of Magic, Armor and HP. Even if its mana cost is high, it's a perfect card for high mana battles. In addition, his Void ability will also help us to absorb the magical attacks of enemy monsters.

Djinn Inferni: In the fourth position I have decided to use Djinn Inferni, the protagonist of this challenge. I really like this card as it does double damage against targets that cost 10 or more mana thanks to its "Giant Killer" ability.

Arkemis the Bear: This card gives +2 armor to all friendly monsters. I think it’s very useful since many of our monsters have no armor. Armor will allow us to resist more attacks from enemy monsters with melee and ranged attacks.

Elemental Phoenix I choose Elemental Phoenix as my sixth and last card position because it has a decent Speed and Flying ability, which gives him a more chance to dodge monsters with melee and ranged attacks.

Did your strategy work?

Yes. I think my strategy worked well. We have managed to use a varied combination of different monsters with magic and melee attack and win the battle. So I am happy with the result and the strategy I used. It was an incredible win with +15 rating points, +1133 reward points and +0.06 SPS.

Do you like Djinn Inferni?

Yes, I like Djinn Inferni. Personally, it's not a card I use a lot, but I think it's very strong if we use it in the right battles. It's especially good in high mana battles where the enemy player is more likely to use monsters that cost 10 or more mana, so we can benefit from its "Giant Killer" ability.
