Sea cual sea el motivo, razón o circunstancia en la que te encuentras lejos de tu país natal, no cabe duda que muchas veces nuestros amigos terminan siendo nuestra familia, nuestro apoyo y aquellas personas que mantienes cerca, con las que puedes contar o sientes que puedes contar, aunque la realidad es que muchas veces no es así pues cada persona esta en sus cosas, pero aun así tratan de ayudarte en lo posible. Siempre he sido una persona más de amigos que incluso de familia, pues muchas veces se cuenta más con ellos que con tu propia sangre, muchas veces la familia es distante o interesada y al final los amigos son familia que uno escoge, personas con las que de verdad tienes una conexión y con las que disfrutas estar. Algo que es muy real para los migrantes que no tenemos familia cerca es que los amigos se convierten en un refugio, son con ellos que empiezas a pasar fechas importantes, navidad, cumpleaños, etc. No podemos evitar extrañar a nuestra familia, pero la verdad es que los amigos nos llenan de una manera muy especial, las risas y los cuentos nunca faltan, y aquellos nuevos amigos con los que generas un vinculo de verdad son un soporte emocional para cualquier persona que haya tenido que irse de su país natal. Es bien difícil no contar con al menos una mano amiga, y creo que son dichosos aquellos que tienen familiares que son amigos, que te respetan y te ayudan a crecer. Al venirme a Chile tuve la suerte de que varios amigos cercanos se vinieron también, y aquí estamos celebrando cumpleaños, incluyendo a otros nuevos conocidos en la lista, y quien quita si se desarrollen nuevas amistades, creo que debemos estar abiertos a conocer gente y escuchar puntos de vista tan diferentes que te causen curiosidad, mi familia esta lejos, mi familia de sangre, pero sin duda mis amigos son familia que yo escogí.

Y es que la vida con amigos es mucho mejor que sin ellos, nunca olvidemos sonreir, soñar, divertirnos disfrutar de todos los momentos que nos regala la vida, solo para dejarnos claro que vale la pena luchar.

Whatever the reason, reason or circumstance in which you find yourself far from your native country, there is no doubt that many times our friends end up being our family, our support and those people who are close to you, who you can count on or who you feel you can count, although the reality is that many times it is not like that because each person is in their own things, but even so they try to help you as much as possible.
I have always been a person more of friends than even family, because many times you count on them more than your own blood, many times the family is distant or interested and in the end friends are family that one chooses, people with whom you truly have a connection and enjoy being with. Something that is very real for migrants who do not have close family is that friends become a refuge, it is with them that you begin to spend important dates, Christmas, birthdays, etc.
We cannot avoid missing our family, but the truth is that friends fill us in a very special way, laughter and stories are never lacking, and those new friends with whom you create a real bond are emotional support for anyone that you had to leave your native country. It is very difficult not to have at least one helping hand, and I think those who have family members who are friends, who respect you and help you grow, are lucky.
When I came to Chile I was lucky that several close friends came too, and here we are celebrating birthdays, including other new acquaintances on the list, and who knows if new friendships develop, I think we should be open to meeting people and listening points of view so different that you are curious, my family is far away, my blood family, but without a doubt my friends are family that I chose.

And it is that life with friends is much better than without them, let us never forget to smile, dream, have fun, enjoy all the moments that life gives us, just to make it clear that it is worth fighting for.
