Anniversary Sunday at the church "Mission Conquering souls for Christ".

Warm greetings dear friends of the @weekend-experiences community, today I share with you my new weekend experience, I tell you about a celebration that I attended with my wife on Sunday, February 26th of this year, the seventh anniversary of the Christian Church "Mission to conquer souls for Christ".

This church is located in the first sector Primero de Mayo in the city of Barrancabermeja Santander-Colombia, about 5 minutes from my place of residence.

For some years we have been attending this church every time we have the opportunity, with the intention to congregate and learn a little more about the word of God, as well as we have time for fun and other activities, we can set aside time to learn a little more about the life of Jesus and all about God's purpose for humanity.

Frequently my wife and I spend the weekends, at home or somewhere like for example, swimming pool, river, shopping mall, ice cream shops, among others, because this Sunday we had an appointment with the Lord in congregation with other friends who are part of the church, my wife usually goes regularly and I attend sometimes and preferably on a Sunday that I am not working.

I really do not want to take this publication to a religious act, but rather to express that not only the experiences of travel and other means of entertainment are worthy of sharing, but the experience with God is also relevant and worthy of sharing, although I clarify that I am not a religious leader or anything like that, but if I consider that in communion with God also enjoys a good experience worthy of sharing.

How did the 7th anniversary celebration begin?

The meeting began at six o'clock in the evening, with the reception of the group of deacons or service personnel committed for this day, then a prayer was said to God in gratitude for so much and for everything, I think there is no better way to start any activity than thanking and putting everything in God's hands, then began an hour of singing praises dedicated to the Lord, then a play was presented in allusion to the day they arrested Jesus to crucify him and die to cleanse our sin and shed his blood for each one of us.

Really a very good play that we could enjoy the talent of the members of the theater group, and the most important thing was that this play left a very interesting message of how Jesus gave everything in obedience to the almighty God.

The next activity was a singing special by young people who are joining the praise ministry as well as learning to play musical instruments such as keyboard or piano, guitar and drums.

It was a very nice presentation, very harmonious for young people who are just starting and learning more every day.

To end the celebration of the 7th anniversary, a screen showed a video of the whole process of formation of the church in the last 7 years, the place where they started, with whom they did it and how they were growing every day during all these years.

It was really a very nice experience, also at the end outside the church there was a sale of food and sweets where we could continue enjoying the delicacies and at the same time contribute to the collection of funds that serve to enlarge the ministry, as it is no secret to anyone that money is extremely necessary for almost all the responsibilities that covers having a place, in this case the place of congregation that is not owned by a member of the church, so you must pay responsibilities such as rent, utilities and others that require monetary capital.

I am pleased to have this space in the community to share my weekend experiences, I hope you liked the experience that today I share with my wife, my great partner in life, I hope to return very soon with a new experience to share with other colleagues who make life in this community.
