Saludos mis estimados amigos de #Hive y de la comunidad @fulldeportes, feliz y bendecido viernes para todos. Sigo contento de poder estar llevando la cobertura de este mundial femenino sub 20. Ayer vi el partido entre Colombia y Polonia y quede impresionado, que sorprendente es el futbol, al menos podemos aprender que hasta que no suene el silbato cualquier cosa puede pasar en el último minuto, buen detalle para aplicarlo en nuestra vida cotidiana. Colombia de forma milagrosa elimino en el minuto 89´ 1- 0 a la selección anfitriona, sinceramente un triunfo así da ganas de llorar al ver como estallaban de emoción las chicas de la tricolor, tenían ante sus ojos un boleto a los cuartos de final de una manera épica. Este partido no lo olvidaran nunca.

Ahora sí, a lo que me quiero enfocar y aquí es donde empieza lo bueno, porque después de los octavos de final el panorama para Sudamérica quedó reducido a Brasil y Colombia. Pero lo curioso es que las dos llegan a cuartos por caminos completamente diferentes. Brasil viene mostrando números de selección candidata: ganó sus tres partidos de fase de grupos, marcó nueve goles y recibió apenas dos. Después tuvo que sudar muchísimo contra Estados Unidos, algo que no esperaba, empató 1-1 y terminó clasificando en los penales. Es decir, no solamente ha mostrado fútbol, también ya tuvo que demostrar carácter cuando las cosas no salieron como esperaba.

And for me, that is one of the most interesting aspects: Colombia is learning how to win matches in different ways. Against Costa Rica, they came from behind; against Portugal, they dominated but couldn't find the net; and against Poland, they waited until the 89th minute to secure qualification. They haven't always dazzled, but they are competing.

Ahora viene Nigeria y aquí sí hay que tener cuidado. Las africanas acaban de meterle 3-0 a Inglaterra y demostraron que tienen velocidad, físico y mucha capacidad para aprovechar los espacios, de hecho, en post anteriores deje el dato mencionando que a Nigeria había que tenerle ojo pelado y miren lo que paso. Colombia tendrá que mejorar precisamente eso que por momentos le ha costado: la tranquilidad con la pelota y la efectividad cuando tiene sus oportunidades. Against Nigeria, I don't think there is much margin for error, so they need to stay sharp.

Mirando el panorama completo, me gusta que Sudamérica todavía tenga dos cartas sobre la mesa. Argentina quedó eliminada ante Corea del Sur y Ecuador tampoco logró avanzar, pero Brasil y Colombia mantienen viva la bandera sudamericana. Brasil tendrá enfrente a España, mientras Colombia se medirá con Nigeria. Y ojo con esto: son partidos totalmente diferentes. Brasil llega con mejores números y mucha producción ofensiva; Colombia llega con ese espíritu de equipo que sabe sufrir y esperar su momento. Ahora sí, estamos en la etapa donde ya no importa tanto cómo llegaste, sino qué haces cuando tienes 90 minutos para seguir soñando.

Looking at the big picture, I like that South America still has two cards left to play. Argentina was eliminated by South Korea and Ecuador failed to advance as well, but Brazil and Colombia are keeping the South American flag flying. Brazil will face Spain, while Colombia takes on Nigeria. And take note: these are completely different types of matches. Brazil arrives with superior stats and a potent attack, whereas Colombia comes in with that team spirit—knowing how to weather the storm and wait for the right moment. We have reached the stage where it no longer matters so much how you got here, but rather what you do when you have 90 minutes to keep the dream alive.
