Un día al llegar a casa Nick Dunne (Affleck) descubre que su mujer no está, llama a la policía y comienza su búsqueda. A medida que van reuniendo evidencia para descubrir que paso con Amy (Pike) todo apunta a que ha sido asesinada por su esposo, aunque sin suficiente evidencia y un cuerpo no pueden incriminarlo. La película nos va mostrando como la relación de los Dunne que en principio se nos planteo como perfecta está muy lejos de eso, la verdad es que es una pesadilla para ambos. Las cosas comienzan a tornarse color de hormiga para Nick, se descubre nueva evidencia: Amy estaba embarazada y este le era infiel con una chica universitaria, aunque este insiste en que no ha hecho nada, la presión de los medios y el odio de la gente comienzan a hacerle la vida bastante difícil. Este decide buscarse un abogado y cuando comienzan a reunir evidencia para probar su inocencia se dan cuenta que todo ha sido planeado por Amy para vengarse y que no es la primera vez que hace ella hace esta clase de cosas, ya que antes había incriminado a uno de sus exnovios por violación.

One day Nick Dunne (Affleck) arrives home to find his wife missing, calls the police and begins his search. As they gather evidence to discover what happened to Amy (Pike) everything points to her having been murdered by her husband, although without sufficient evidence and a body they cannot incriminate him. The film shows us how the Dunne's relationship, which was initially presented as perfect, is far from that, the truth is that it is a nightmare for both of them. Things start to turn bad for Nick, new evidence is discovered: Amy was pregnant and he was unfaithful with a college girl, although he insists that he has not done anything, the pressure of the media and the hatred of the people begin to make his life quite difficult. He decides to get a lawyer and when they begin to gather evidence to prove his innocence they realize that everything has been planned by Amy to get revenge and that it is not the first time she does this kind of thing, as she had previously framed one of her ex-boyfriends for rape.

Affleck decide hablar en televisión nacional y le pide a Amy que regrese a casa ya que era la unica manera de probar su inocencia. Esta se encuentra con otro de sus exnovios (Neil Patrick Harris) quien está obsesionado con ella y lo que comenzó como un refugio ahora es más un cautiverio, así que esta decide matarlo, fingiendo que lo hizo en defensa propia y vuelve con Nick, quien sorpresivamente a pesar de todo la recibe. Ambos se dan cuenta de que son una simbiosis necesaria para la existencia del otro.

Affleck decides to speak on national television and asks Amy to return home as it was the only way to prove her innocence. She meets another of her ex-boyfriends (Neil Patrick Harris) who is obsessed with her and what started as a refuge is now more of a captivity, so she decides to kill him, pretending that she did it in self-defense and returns to Nick, who surprisingly welcomes her in spite of everything. They both realize that they are a necessary symbiosis for each other's existence.

En términos de actuación la película es bastante promedio, aunque podríamos destacar las caracterizaciones de Rosamund Pike y de Carrie Coon como Margo Dunne hermana gemela de Nick. El elenco también cuenta con artistas como Emily Ratajkowski, Tyler Perry, Sela Ward. Creo que lo que le da toda la fama a la película es como está dirigida, como se nos cuenta la historia de lo que pasó y como una historia de amor se va desgastando hasta llegar al límite. También me gusta bastante el final agridulce que tenemos, nuestro protagonistas no tienen el típico final feliz y esto es bastante atrayente.

Aunque le doy un 3/5, recomiendo verla ya que la trama se nos plantea de manera muy interesante, realmente necesitas saber en qué termina la historia. Esto es todo por hoy. Adiós!

In terms of acting the movie is pretty average, although we could highlight the characterizations of Rosamund Pike and Carrie Coon as Nick's twin sister Margo Dunne. The cast also features performers such as Emily Ratajkowski, Tyler Perry, Sela Ward. I think what gives the movie all the fame is how it is directed, how we are told the story of what happened and how a love story wears down to the breaking point. I also quite like the bittersweet ending we get, our protagonists don't have the typical happy ending and this is quite appealing.
Although I give it a 3/5, I recommend watching it as the plot is laid out for us in a very interesting way, you really need to know where the story ends up. That's all for today. Goodbye!
