The Fault in Our Stars: "A dramatic but beatiful story" / (ENG) (ESP)

Hello friends of Hive !!! This time I come to give you my opinion about a novel that I read a couple of years ago and that made me have different kinds of feelings but that in general I think is a beautiful story.

The Fault in Our Stars is one of the best novels I have ever read. It is romantic, dramatic and with an extremely sad ending but with powerful metaphors that run throughout its pages.

Hola amigos de Hive!!! En esta ocasión vengo a darles mi opinión acerca de una novela que lei hace un par de años y que me hizo tener distintos tipo de sentimientos pero que en general pienso que es una hermosa historia.

Bajo la misma estrella es una de las mejores novelas que he leído. Es romántica, dramática y con un final sumamente triste pero con potentes metáforas que transcurren durante toda sus páginas.

The novel tells us about the life of Hazel Grace, a girl who has suffered of cancer since she was 13 years old and must live with a tube in order to breathe better. At the beginning of the novel we can see how tired Hazel is in the face of life, nothing seems to matter to her, much less the meetings with a help group to which she is forced by her parents.

One day Hazel in that group meets a boy named Augustus Waters, quite attractive and talkative. Augustus gives his presentation speech in the group, talking about how he lost a leg to cancer but in a funny way without causing harm, he also comments on his greatest fear which is forgetfulness after death.

La novela nos narra la vida de Hazel Grace una chica que padece cáncer desde los 13 años y le debe vivir entubada para poder respirar mejor. Al inicio de la novela podemos ver lo cansada que esta Hazel ante la vida, nada parece importarle y mucho menos las reuniones a un grupo de ayuda a las que se ve forzada por sus padres.

Cierto dia Hazel en ese grupo conoce a un chico llamado Augustus Waters, bastante atractivo y hablador. Augustus da su discurso de presentación en el grupo, hablando de como perdió una pierna por culpa del cáncer pero de una manera divertida sin causar lastima, también comenta sobre su mayor miedo que es el olvido después de la muerte.

Little by little Hazel and Augustus get along better and the boy's intentions are getting bigger but Hazel resists because she considers herself a grenade. This is another metaphor that we can get in the book, a grenade that is about to explode and ruin the lives of all his loved ones with his death.

Hazel had constantly been reading a book written by a Dutch, related to cancer and loss and she felt very identified with the book. The cunning of Augustus is surprising and he writes a letter to the writer expressing Hazel's wishes to meet him, this writer agrees and Hazel and Augustus go unexpectedly to Amsterdam, Holland.

Poco a poco Hazel y Augustus se van llevando mejor y las intenciones del chico son cada vez mayores pero Hazel se resiste por considerarse una granada. Esta es otra metáfora que podemos conseguir en el libro, una granada que esta a punto de explotar y arruinar la vida de todos sus seres queridos con su muerte.

Hazel constantemente había estado leyendo un libro escrito por un holandés, relacionado con el cáncer y la perdida y ella se sentía muy identificada con el libro. La astucia de Augustus es sorprendente y este le escribe una carta al escritor expresando los deseos de Hazel por conocerlo, este escritor acepta y Hazel y Augustus van inesperadamente a Amsterdam, Holanda.

In this country there are many uncomfortable situations and even more when they meet that writer who turns out to be a drunken and unpleasant character but also situations of intense love between two boys who are about to die.

I imagine that by suffering from a terminal illness we can come to appreciate every bit of happiness that we can feel. Every affection, every touch and every gesture can be decisive in the short life that we can lead. Imagine meeting the love of your life knowing that both of you are going to die in a short time.

Perhaps because of the theme and the beautiful theme of the novel, it was a boom in 2012 and 2014 and its adaptation to the cinema was made, which I also found great. Rarely have I seen an adaptation as good as the one made of this novel, with very small differences, the most notable among the personalities of the characters such as Augustus, he is more arrogant and crazy in the novel.

En este país se presentan muchas situaciones incomodas y aun mas cuando conocen a ese escritor que resulta ser un personaje ebrio y desagradable pero también situaciones de un amor intenso entre dos chicos que están a punto de morir.

Me imagino que al padecer de una enfermedad terminal podemos llegar a valorar cada pizca de felicidad que podamos sentir. Cada afecto, cada caricia y cada gesto pueden ser decisivos en la corta vida que podamos llevar. Imaginanense conocer al amor de su vida sabiendo que ambos van a morir en un corto plazo.

Quizas por la temática y el hermoso tema de la novela fue un boom en los 2012 y 2014 y se hizo su adaptcion al cine que también me parecio estupenda. Pocas veces he visto una adaptación tan buena como la que se hizo de esta novela, con muy pequeñas diferencias, las mas notables entre la personalidad de los personajes como por ejemplo Augustus, el es mas arrogante y loco en la novela.

The end of this novel had an effect on my stranger, between sadness and happiness, the sad part must be found out by you when reading the novel or watching the movie but the happiness that it produced me was the fact that they knew true happiness, they loved each other deeply knowing that they were going to die. Augustus's fear was oblivion, but Hazel made him understand that when he loves himself, it doesn't matter if there are few or many people, oblivion will never exist and we will always remember those people.

The Fault in Our Stars is a novel for young people but that anyone can read because there are very deep themes and interesting metaphors. I mean this is not a typical love novel but has a deeper and more painful theme but without ceasing to be a beautiful story.

The characters are well done and it was not difficult for me to feel sympathy for them, I think that is what reading is about connecting with the characters as well as towards Hazel with the Dutchman's novel. I especially connect with this novel, I really liked that pure love that these two characters felt for each other, something that is rarely seen today.

El final de esta novela surtió un efecto en mi extraño, entre tristeza y felicidad, la parte triste deberán averiguarla ustedes al leer la novela o ver la película pero la felicidad que me produjo fue el hecho de que ellos conocieron la verdadera felicidad, se amaron profundamente sabiendo que iban a morir. El miedo de Augustus era el olvido pero Hazel le hizo entender que cuando se ama, no importa si son pocas o muchas personas el olvido nunca existirá y siempre recordaremos a esas personas.

Bajo la misma estrella es una novela juvenil pero que puede leer cualquiera porque hay temas muy profundos y metáforas interesantes. Me refiero a esto que no es una novela típica de amor sino lleva un tema mas profundo y doloroso pero sin dejar de ser una hermosa historia.

Los personajes están bien hechos y no me fue difícil sentir simpatía por ellos, creo que de eso se trata la lectura de conectar con los personajes asi como hacia Hazel con la novela del holandés. Yo conecte especialmente con esta novela, me gusto mucho ese amor puro que estos dos personajes sentían el uno por el otro algo que poco se ve hoy en dia.
