[ENG|ESP] 🎉Enjoying Carnival in my town! | ¡Disfrutando del Carnaval en mi Pueblo!🎉

¿Como les va mis queridos amigos de Hive! Finalmente llegó el momento de la diversión, el show y los disfraces. La mayoría de los lugares comenzaron a celebrar el carnaval y los niños salen corriendo disfrazados y jugando con los típicos globos de agua. Aquí en mi ciudad realizamos el desfile de carnaval e igual que el año pasado a mi amor @hectorfaria1 y a mi nos tocó cubrirlo como parte del equipo de prensa. Lo cierto que este año fue más fácil para nosotros porque al ser el 2do año que nos toca cubrir este evento, nos resultó más sencillo acoplarnos.

How are you doing my dear HIve friends! Finally it's time for fun, show and costumes. Most places started celebrating carnival and the kids are running around in costumes and playing with the typical water balloons. Here in my city we had the carnival parade and just like last year my love @hectorfaria1 and I had to cover it as part of the press team. The truth is that this year it was easier for us because it was the 2nd year that we had to cover this event, it was easier for us to adapt.

Desde temprano estuvimos en el punto de salida esperando que llegaran las compasas y me encantó ver como ha pesar de toda la situación y demás, las comunidades se organizaron para llevar a cabo este gran evento. Recuerdo cuando por ningún motivo me perdía de los desfiles, mi mamá toda la vida me llevaba, luego iba con mis amigas y en esta ocasión nos tocó cubrirlo como parte de nuestro trabajo pero aún así se disfruto muchísimo.

Early in the morning we were at the starting point waiting for the parades to arrive and I was delighted to see how, despite the situation, the communities organized themselves to carry out this great event. I remember when for no reason I used to miss the parades, my mom always took me, then I would go with my friends and this time we had to cover it as part of our job, but I still enjoyed it very much.

Después de una larga caminata, llegamos al punto donde se presentarían las comparsas con sus coreografías y mi gente, hubo grupos que definitivamente se fueron por todo lo alto, y pensar que parte del material utilizado para la decoración, para apoyarse en sus bailes y demás fue con material reciclable. Hubo mucha imaginación la verdad.

After a long walk, we arrived at the point where the comparsas would present their choreographies and my people, there were groups that definitely went all out, and to think that part of the material used for decoration, to support their dances and others was recyclable material. There was a lot of imagination.

Esta comparsa estuvo en la categoría de escuelas y me gustó muchísimo como abordaron el tema de nuestras tradiciones y la identidad. Nuestros juegos típicos que poco a poco han ido mermando debido a la tecnología pero esta en nosotros no dejar que eso suceda. También estuvo la representación de nuestro baile tradicional y los simbolos patrios del País. Muy bonito todo la verdad y de hecho lograron el primer lugar en su categoría. Bien merecido.

This comparsa was in the category of schools and I really liked how they addressed the theme of our traditions and identity. Our typical games that little by little have been diminishing due to technology but it is up to us not to let that happen. There was also the representation of our traditional dance and the patriotic symbols of the country. Very nice all the truth and in fact they won the first place in their category. Well deserved.

Otra de las comparsas que me llamó la atención y me gustó mucho fue la de coco, me encantó el detalle de que hasta llevaron a la propia abuelita Coco a escena.

Another of the comparsas that caught my attention and I really liked was the one of Coco, I loved the detail that they even brought grandma Coco herself to the stage.

Y esta en definitiva puedo decir que fue una de mis comparsas favoritas, con un performance espectacular de Celia Cruz y yo calculo que hubo más de 40 personas en escenas quienes armaron diferentes entradas y estilos de coreografías. Los trajes, las puestas en escena, todo estuvo espectacular y se llevaron su merecido premio.

And this was definitely one of my favorite comparsas, with a spectacular performance of Celia Cruz and I estimate that there were more than 40 people on stage who put together different entrances and styles of choreography. The costumes, the staging, everything was spectacular and they got their well deserved award.

Me encantó mucho como se llevó a cabo este desfile de carnaval, nuevamente me senti como si no estuviera trabajando sino realmente disfrutando de todo este bello evento.

I really loved how this carnival parade was carried out, again I felt like I was not working but really enjoying this beautiful event.

Pero las fiestas no acabaron aquí, al día siguiente también nos tocó cubrir el tradicional concurso de las negritas. Un evento que no puede faltar y es tradición en nuestro pueblo. Es una actividad que más allá de un concurso es un momento de diversión, comedía y un show de entretenimiento para toda persona que haya ido este día a la actividad.

But the festivities did not end here, the next day we also had to cover the traditional contest of the negritas. An event that can not miss and is a tradition in our town. It is an activity that beyond a contest is a moment of fun, comedy and entertainment show for everyone who has gone this day to the activity.

Esta actividad estuvo llena de mucha diversión y lo cierto es que fue una total locura, mi amor y yo nos divertimos demasiado en este evento. Las risas que uno saca aqui son enormes. Me dieron hasta ganas de ser parte de esto el año siguiente pero después recuerdo que estoy trabajando así que por el momento no podría ser pero tal vez en algun futuro no tan lejanos se pueda lograr jajaja.

This activity was filled with a lot of fun and the truth is that it was totally crazy, my love and I had so much fun at this event. The laughs you get out of it are huge. I even wanted to be part of this next year but then I remember that I am working so for the moment I couldn't do it but maybe in the not so distant future it will be possible hahaha.

Concluimos nuestra noche de la mejor manera, nos divertimos, gozamos y nos fuimos con una sonrisa en nuestros rostros por tan divertido evento. Me alegra mucho que todo haya salido lo mejor posible y que cualquiera pueda disfrutar de un poquito de recreación para pasar sus días de una manera diferente a la usual. Eso me hace feliz 💜

We concluded our night in the best way, we had fun, enjoyed ourselves and left with a smile on our faces for such a fun event. I'm so glad that everything went as smoothly as possible and that anyone can enjoy a little bit of recreation to spend their days in a different way than usual. That makes me happy 💜
