Marquesa de Chocolate • Chocolate Marquise
🇪🇸 ESPAÑOL
¡¡Hola amigos!!

Hello friends!!
Today I bring you a delicious chocolate marquise recipe that my mother-in-law and I made with the intention of giving it to my grandmother for her birthday.
The cakes that my mother-in-law prepares are the best, I am a fan of hers. She loves to cook and baking is her favorite hobby, which is why she always tries to practice sweet recipes to get the best results and she knows a lot of tricks. The truth is that her cakes are delicious.
And this time the excuse to get down to work was her mother's birthday (Grandma Lucila). We decided to prepare her favorite cake which is the ** Chocolate Marquise **, I took the opportunity to help, learn how to make it and bring you this delicious recipe.
Let us begin...
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of sweet chocolate milk
- 2 packages of Biscuit Maria
- 50 g of chocolate drops
- Liter and a half of liquid milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 200 g of cocoa (powder or artisanal)
- 50 g cornstarch
- 200 g of sugar
- 100 g of margarine without salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation and tricks:
First of all, it is important to have all the ingredients weighed.
The 100 g of margarine are frozen (this means that when it is incorporated into the hot mixture, the result is a thicker texture and a more delicate flavor)
We made this cake with artisan cocoa balls, which by the way were made by the future birthday girl, who grows, harvests and processes her own cocoa.
To be able to use them we first had to grate the cocoa and turn it into powder, but it can be prepared with cocoa powder without any problem.
Once the cocoa was grated, the milk and the eggs were placed in a saucepan over low heat. My mother-in-law taught me that she previously beats them with a little milk and then strains them to prevent them from becoming lumps with the heat and remove any impurities they may have.
She says that in confectionery, everything that can be passed through a strainer before being added to the preparation is good to do so that the ingredients are better integrated.
The sugar, cornstarch, vanilla and cocoa are also added little by little, all this is mixed and cooked for approximately 10 minutes until it thickens and forms the cream that is the protagonist of our dessert.
Once the proper texture and thickness is achieved, turn off the heat, let it rest for a few minutes.
Add the previously frozen margarine that will also be mixed to give the final touch to our mixture.
Having all this ready, we go on to assemble our rich marquise, dipping the cookies in sweet chocolate milk so that they also have a little chocolate flavor and we are placing them in layers along with the mixture and between layer and layer the chocolate drops to give it a crunch special.
At the end we let it rest and cool in the fridge for a few hours to be able to taste our delicious marquise!!
I hope you liked this recipe, that you try to make it and tell me how it goes...
Greetings to all and until next time 😁👋
