Today I bring for you a character in trend but that I have liked since I was a child with the movies of the 90's of the Addams Family, adaptation made by Tim Burton, and the original series much older, where she represents the eldest daughter of Morticia and Homer, who has a very dark and sadistic personality, has almost no facial expressions, she is distant and cold and enjoys doing evil to his brother Pericles.
In this process I wanted to make a Merlina to my version, taking characteristics of the character of the 1990 film and mix them with the new adaptation that brought the streaming platform Netflix, where the composition is a girl almost possessed drawing blood from her mouth, this to give more incapie to the sadistic and dark personality of this character, has one of the costumes for the film director Tim Burton, thick braids in her hair, and her hands have black ink where in my head she practiced some spell of witchcraft.
The color palette I used was in the range of burnt reds, porcelain, grays, navy blues this topped with a game of lights and shadows to give the dramatic and eccentric effect that characterizes this very peculiar family, where the daring and unpleasant, has a touch of humor and makes it catching to continue watching how they develop in the normality of a world where they are not understood.
Personally I love this family and I love their eccentricities as a whole, it seems to me a way to visualize a real family where everyone has different tastes and dynamics of relating to each other, the aesthetics is also one of the things that I like the most and the shock and rupture of an unconventional style that is noticeable at first glance in their immediate environment.
