Hand colored with colored pencils and markers: Tonga Drum

A big hug! Ready to see my new drawing? I'm sure you are, so I won't keep you waiting. Today I drew a drum called the Tonga Drum. This is an epic drum identified by the number E93 in the Rising Star decks. This instrument is very good for increasing your Luck, as it grants you around 200 points. So, if you're thinking about increasing these attributes in the game, it's a good option. Take a look at how I started the drawing, and then I'll tell you a little about the drum itself.

Friends, the Tonga Drum is a drum used in various regions of Africa and the world. It's widely used in all kinds of local cultural ceremonies in African countries, such as religious ceremonies and local cultural events, not necessarily religious. It's also part of African classical music. It's played with the hands, naturally. You wouldn't play it with your feet, would you? 😅 All joking aside, what I meant was that it can be played with the hands like other drums, but it can also be played with drumsticks; it all depends on the type of music and the context you want to achieve.

As you can see in the drawing, I drew a strap next to the drum. That's because it's usually played while the person playing it dances. This way, they can do both things at the same time; they can use the drumsticks, for example, and the strap keeps it on their shoulders while the musician dances. It's very practical.

I loved being able to draw it today; it was very interesting to learn from it and to share some examples of my process. Up to this point in the post, as I've been telling you a bit about it, you've already seen almost the entire drawing, but of course, I can't finish without showing you some examples of the materials used and the finished piece.
