New reward cards: Part Two - More Pelacors

Pelacor Mercenary

image.png

This is by far my favorite card! And it also was the only of the new common reward cards, that got at least a little bit of love, pricing it above $0.30 at some point of time.

The Mercenary is the "new Flesh Golem". It's (self) heal works perfect with Llama, but also without a Llama it is really a strong self-healing card.

The big disadvantage: It starts to get there only from Gold rank, so it won't be playable for Silver, Bronze and Novice players, whereas Silver player are able to play Flesh Golem level 3.

Flesh Golem gets heal at Level 3, Pelacor Mercenary at level 6. Before level 6 it has flying only, but already 2 Melee Attack, 2 Speed, 1 Shield and 8 HP at level one. It gets another Melee Attack at Level 3 (14 BCX) and already has 10 HP at Silver max level. At its own max level it gets retaliate, making it potential even more valuable then Flesh Golem. It is one mana more expensive, which is another disadvantage.

But it is, right now, not even 1% of the cost at 1 BCX of a Beta Flesh Golem, and only a bit more than 1/3 of a 1% compared to a Alpha Flesh Golem. So yes, you can get an almost maxed out Pelacor Mercenary at the price of 1 BCX Alpha Golem, and almost a level 7 Pelacor Mercenary for a Beta Flesh Golem 1 BCX copy. Questions?

Pelacor Conjurer

Next up is the Pelacor Conjurer. It is comparable to the Failed Summoner, although the Conjurer is at Life splinter, while the Failed Summoner at Earth.
Starting with flying and 3 Speed and 4 HP at level one, it is a cheap 2 Mana meat shield. It gets Magic Reflect at Level 4 (30 BCX) making it a good defence against magic attackers. At level 7 (150 BCX) there is an additional Divine Shield - so a little Lorna. And at maxed level it will also get Phase, giving it a chance to dodge magic attacks. And at 5 speed that chance is not too bad. With 5 speed and 7 HP, flying, magic reflect and divine shield it is already pretty amazing at Gold cap, but even with 4 speed and 6 health with flying and magic reflect it is a solid defender at Silver cap. Big advantage: At time of writing it is only a tenth of the price of the Failed Summoner. And it is likely that both of them will appreciate in price over time.

Second Gladius Case

It was better than my first one and I think that especially those rare Gladiators can really make a difference!

My first Chicken kill!

Unfortunately I lost that battle in the end, but it really happened!

Daily Reward

Never thought this would happen, but this is my second epic reward card out of a daily quest, and the first Djinn Renova was only a few days ago.

Mercenary is like a nectar queen/flesh golem hybrid, with some shield thrown in there..

Conjurer is very much undervalued if you ask me, magic reflect and phase for 2 mana is great. Failed summoner is a great card and played a lot in higher leagues. So once part of the player base moves up in leagues and these cards eventually stop printing I can see both appreciating a lot indeed.

Good gladius case! Witch of warwick and gobson are actually great too, as they both have a good chance to kill and activate bloodlust and they're secondary skills go really well with that, 3 or 4 magic atk with leech is scary, as is 2-3 melee with opportunity. especially lower league rulesets or lower mana battles..

share your predictions for Pelacor Mercenary and
Pelacor Conjurer, where latter could also be a bit comparable to Kelp Initiate who was increased in sales and rental prices significantly as of late.
nice Djinn Renova pull
