Today, I had a medical appointment in a part of Bogotá that holds a special place in my memories because I spent an important part of my university years around this area.

Since the weather was beautiful and I had some time before heading back home, I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. This area is known as Bogotá's Zona Rosa, a lively part of the city filled with shops, shopping centers, restaurants, and a very youthful atmosphere.

As I walked around, I couldn't help but remember those years when I used to walk these same streets as a university student. It's funny how a place can remain almost the same while feeling completely different when we see it from another stage of our lives.

I also took some time to visit a few of the parks in the area, sit for a while, and simply enjoy the sunshine. After the past few days, which have been a little unsettling here in Colombia, I felt like I needed exactly that: to walk, breathe, and clear my mind.

I hadn't planned any special tour. I simply wanted to head home after my appointment, but I ended up giving myself a little walk through a place filled with memories.

And I think that's another beautiful thing about living in a city like Bogotá: there is always a corner that can surprise us, even when we think we already know it.

Today, I looked at a place from my past through the eyes of the person I am today.

Perhaps that's also a form of traveling: we don't always need to go far away to discover something new. Sometimes, all we need is to return to a familiar place and see it differently.

Hoy tenía una cita médica en un sector de Bogotá que me resulta muy especial, porque fue precisamente por esta zona donde pasé una parte importante de mi época universitaria.

Aprovechando que hacía un día bastante bonito y que tenía algo de tiempo antes de regresar a casa, decidí caminar un rato por los alrededores. El lugar es conocido como la Zona Rosa de Bogotá, una zona muy concurrida, con tiendas, centros comerciales, restaurantes y una vibra bastante juvenil.

Mientras caminaba, no pude evitar recordar aquellos años en los que recorría estas mismas calles como estudiante. Es curioso cómo un lugar puede permanecer prácticamente igual y, al mismo tiempo, sentirse completamente diferente cuando lo miramos desde otra etapa de nuestra vida.

También aproveché para pasar por algunos parques de la zona, sentarme un rato y simplemente disfrutar del sol. Después de estos últimos días, en los que hemos vivido momentos un poco inquietantes en Colombia, sentí que necesitaba precisamente eso: caminar, respirar y despejar la mente.

No tenía planeado hacer ningún recorrido especial. Solo quería regresar a casa después de mi cita, pero terminé regalándome una pequeña caminata por un lugar lleno de recuerdos.

Y creo que esa es otra de las cosas bonitas de vivir en una ciudad como Bogotá: siempre hay un rincón que puede sorprendernos, incluso cuando creemos que ya lo conocemos.

Hoy volví a mirar un lugar de mi pasado con los ojos de la persona que soy ahora.

Quizás eso también es viajar: no siempre necesitamos ir lejos para descubrir algo nuevo; a veces basta con volver a un lugar conocido y mirarlo de otra manera.
