Recoleta Cemetery

Recoleta Cemetery, a place that I did not expect to visit, I was surprised to see so many sculptures and everything is also very organized. At the entrance there are security personnel who receive Argentines and foreigners, they also offer guided tours, more brochures on the history that inhabits and distinguishes such a mysterious place.
In this cemetery, distinguished personalities who played a leading role in the history of Argentina, as well as personalities with a lot of money, are found inside its vaults. I was surprised to learn that this cemetery is currently in operation.

It is a cemetery that was created in 1822, and it is a work of French engineering Próspero Catelin, if you like to read and document yourself a little more you can read here BA

Mysterious tourism

From my experience, I share that this place maintains a very intense energy. While I was listening to their stories, one more incredible than the other, I thought that everything in life ends in a place like this cemetery, or in any other, so it is important to take advantage of every moment and opportunity before us.

In this cemetery are the remains of high-ranking soldiers, renowned widows, young people, even pets. Among some of the personalities that I remember are buried in the cemetery are: Eva Perón, a woman known in history as First Lady, a woman of great strength and influence in Argentina. I remember President Sarmiento because I recently visited El Tigre, another beautiful part that I will share soon, and I stayed in front of a house called Sarmiento. Julio Argentino Roca, this character is fixed in my mind because he is on Argentine banknotes, like these celebrities there are many more.

There was a story that made a great impression on me and it was that of a couple who are buried in the same place, but their busts made into statues are placed on their backs and the reason is because they had a troubled marriage all their lives and for this reason they did not know they never spoke When they die, their reality is exposed in marble, which made me think of so many couples who today live similar demands and are not capable of resolving their situation for convenience or not, and are anchored to a life of sadness and limitations.

In my posts I try to share my journey with everyone who reads me, but also the way I see it with life experiences, which is part of my job, being able to help others with words of motivation, encouragement and good vibes.

Misterioso turismo

Hello dear friend @ angelica7 good morning
What an incredible place, especially for those of us who love period buildings, the architecture of the buildings is really beautiful.
This is one of the most emblematic cemeteries of the city, and without a doubt it is associated with all those hilistres figurines that rest here.
I have lived for many years very close to La Recoleta, and I never had the opportunity to visit the place, but I knew that it was something extraordinary
I loved the images you share, and how with your words you make us reflect on the way we spend our lives.
I take this opportunity to wish you a splendid day

Wow, dear blockchain friend, it's good to read you here. I didn't know you were Argentine, I always thought you were from Venezuela lol.
I am visiting this beautiful country, if you have the opportunity we will share a coffee, tea or mate, to honor the place. It may be through the Arenales square, I can walk there.
Good vibes.

That would be great, and I would love to meet you personally, but unfortunately I no longer live in Buenos Aires. Now I live in the city of Corrientes, a small town in the northeast of Argentina. Right now I am dedicating myself to my health, I have several conditions that occupy Much of my time, after having contracted the covid virus, a series of ailments have been awakened, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, arrhythmia, cervical and lumbar hernia, and due to the large number of medications that I consume, it has caused me erosive gastritis Otherwise, I would have traveled there, since in less than two hours by plane I could be there. Maybe at your next visit we can meet
I hope you get the best impression of my country and that you have enjoyed your stay very much.

I'm not surprised that this cemetery was designed by French as it reminds me of cemeteries that I visited in Paris. Sounds kind of creepy, but there really are many beautiful architectural pieces 🙂

The one that you visited is beautiful too!

Thank you for sharing!

I'm glad you visit and meet you.
You're welcome.
Good vibes
